I’d lov to see her tear into Eleanor (“The Lion in Winter”) or Martha (“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”)

Retiree in real life for the sake of her forgotten peers who do TV and stage work for relevancy.December 30, 2016 at 3:30 pm #1201977558
Apart from the obvious choices (i.e. Hillary Clinton) I would love for her to revisit Elizabeth Taylor’s Martha from ‘Who’s Afraid of Virgina Woolf?’
It would be great to see her in a dramatic role since she’s only been in comedies and musicals for the past few years. Which is why I’m looking forward to ‘The Nix’.

Eleanor and Martha would both be great onstage, as would Ranevskaya. Last I heard she’s been looking for something to do on Broadway, though doesn’t want to do a revival.
On film, I’d love to see her work with Kaufman and/or Jonze again, as well as Scorsese, the Coens, and the Andersons. Anything but another fluffy romcom, static stage adaptation, or biopic.December 30, 2016 at 5:51 pm #1201977596

A director that challenges her.
