Does anyone have any thoughts, opinions, views, or perspective on what the BAFTA nominations will look like. This award season is rather “odd” but still “engaging” so I wondering what the BAFTA’s will look like. My predictions are below.

At the unpredictable rate of how this race is going, I have no clue.

All bets are off at this point!

I don’t know, why not look at the BAFTA thread that already exists?

Also, asked this in that thread, but can the BAFTAs be added to the prediction centre please?

That woukd be great to be able to predict the BAFTA Awards in the prediction centre. In the past it woukd have been difficult since they were so “BAFTA British”. But these days they align with the race quite fluently. Pkease add it to the prediction centre?

I guess this could be the very first year in a while when both supporting actor and supporting actress are all over the place in terms of precursors, with different contenders taking the Globe, the SAG and the BAFTA.

    Supporting Actress
    Globe: Vikander – Ex Machina
    SAG: Mara – Carol
BAFTA: maybe somebody from Suffragette, Winslet, maybe Vikander (but for The Danish Girl)

    Supporting Actor
    Globe: Stallone
    SAG: Shannon, Tremblay, Rylance
    BAFTA: maybe Rylance, or KEATON

I can see this race being all over the place. This would finally make the Oscars interesting.

Best actress nominations will be interesting at baftas. Blanchett and Ronan are locks. It’s really hard to imagine Smith, Mulligan or Rampling will be snubbed by Bafta, so Brie Larson could miss out here. Same applies for Mara.

    BAFTA will definitely embrace Brooklyn.

    Best Actress:
Maggie Smith – Lady in the Van
    Saoirse Ronan – Brooklyn***
    Carey Mulligan – Suffragette
    Charlotte Rampling – 45 Years
    Cate Blanchett – Carol
(I can see Larson missing it here sort of like Dallas Buyers, but take out Mulligan if they don’t ignore it.)

This is the year that the Oscar winner may miss the nom because many british actress has powerful projects in the race.

    Saoirse Ronan – Brooklyn
    Charlotte Rampling – 45 Years
Maggie Smith – The Lady in the Van
    Carey Mulligan – Suffragette

Cate Blanchett is a three time winner and Carol is gonna be bigger than Room so I’m with Blanchett for the last spot. Also we don’t know if they will put Mara and Vikander in lead, both have as much of a chance as Larson, and if Larson still get the nom it’s because she’s winning.

You know Kate Winslet will win the Best Supporting Actress BAFTA. She is the recipient of the BAFTA Fellowship.

    Best Actress Contenders:
    Brie Larson – Room
    Cate Blacnhett – Carol
    Rooney Mara – Carol
Alicia Vikander – The Danish Girl
Helen Mirren – Woman in Gold
    Saoirse Ronan – Brookyln
    Charlotte Rampling – 45 Years
Charlize Theron – Mad Max: Fury Road

Remember Kate Winslet “The Reader,” Steve Carrell “Foxcatcher,” Scarlett Johansson “Lost in Translation,” etc. All were placed in different categories

BAFTA Fellowship hasn’t been announced yet. Are you talking about the ‘BAFTA A Life in Picture’ tribute from a week ago? That’s something different.
