I’m assuming any of the nominees for Production Design can win; I finally threw in the towel and switched to Mad Max, but I still don’t think it’s a slum dunk even if there isn’t an obvious alternative. Because of Stallone’s vulnerable frontrunner status and the irregularity of the Supporting Actor category throughout the season, I’m also assuming anyone but Christian Bale has at least a tiny chance to win there. Bale has been consistently nominated and lost every time, including at BAFTA where he could be considered overdue (he is British after all).
