What movie do you predict to win at the PGA and why? I have seen that in the prediction centre, most predict a win for La La Land. However seeing the reaction of many critics after La La Land got 14 nominations, do you think the table could be turned and the PGA might go for Moonlight, since its also the most acclaimed movie of the year?

I don’t know when PGA voting started, but it ends on Friday, so even if there is a backlash at La La Land, I don’t think it’ll be early enough to change the results. The more important question is if it can sway BAFTA

This should be a slam dunk for La La Land. Frankly, it’s probably a tad more vulnerable at the Oscars than it is here.

La La Land probably, but Moonlight could pull off a King’s Speech victory and interestingly enough Hidden Figures I could see happen because of its financial success.

La La Land isn’t vulnerable ANYWHERE, let alone at the Oscars, with 14 freaking nominations. The only categories it can possibly lose, is for Ryan Gosling and Sound Editing. Everything else is a lock in my book. I’d love to see Isabelle Huppert or Ruth Negga win, but Emma sings her heart out, her movie has WAAAAAAAYYY more support, and she is a lock to win the SAG, where poor Huppert and Negga aren’t even nominated.

I do see a chance of Emma Stone losing to Natalie Portman or Isabelle Hupert. But she still has a very good chance of winning. IMO, La La Land has this in the bag after those 14 nominations.

Not that I’m predicting it to lose or anything but below the line noms can be misleading. Technically it’s got only 4 more than Mad Max which wasn’t even a T3 contender, had the acting category disadvantage and wasn’t competitive in music-related categories. The only below the line nom that would suggest a huuuge support for LLL would be Sound Editing.(which is big) but it’s not like people(or Goldderby odds so to speak) expected anything less than that.
