What if the last 5 BP winners all released in the same Oscar season?

    Who would win?

    1. 12 Years a Slave
    2. Birdman
    3. The Kings Speech
    4. The Artist
    5. Argo

But all of them except 12 Years a Slave won for circumstances that had more to do than the movie itself so who knows.

    Steve McQueen’s easily. Very easily.

    1. 12 Years

    2. The Artist
    3. Argo

    4. King’s Speech
    5. Birdman

GREAT line up would be: 12 Years a Slave, No Country For Old Men, The Departed, Million Dollar Baby and The Hurt Locker.

“12 Years a Slave” for sure. It’s the most “important” film of the five and, let’s face it, those other four flicks are very, very white.

    My personal preference:

    1. Argo
    2. The Artist
    3. Birdman
    4. 12 Years a Slave
    5. The King’s Speech.

None of these films have deserved to win, though.

12 Years a Slave won EXACTLY because it was “important” to Hollywood. I mean most of the nominees were surely better. Like “Her”.

Personally (I liked all of them):
    1. The Artist
    2. 12 Years a Slave
    3. Argo
    4. Birdman
    5. The King’s Speech

    What would win:
    1. 12 Years a Slave
    2. The Artist
    3. The King’s Speech
    4. Birdman
    5. Argo

I dont know why so many people hate KIngs Speech. This is probably my one of 10 fav movie ever. Its so touching, and i loved every minute of it.

And why there is so many votes for 12 years of slave? I think Its Artist clealry, the Kings Speech. 12 years barely won

I am shocked by the overwhelming response for 12 Years a Slave. It is not a cinematic experience I would choose to repeat. Much too painful to watch.
