I want Elizabeth Olsen to be an Oscar nominee and her career to explode! She’s one of the most interesting actresses today!August 31, 2015 at 8:17 pm #193575
Since I haven’t seen many of these performances, I gotta go with Amy Schumer. I thought she was great in Trainwreck in both her comedic and more dramtic scenes. I hope the film will be remembered come voting.
If I was being biased though, I would have to say:
1.) Rachel McAdams- I. LOVE. HER. She is a great actress who stole the show in True Detective this year and was also great in her role for Southpaw. I can’t wait to see her in Spotlight.
2.) Elizabeth Banks
3.) Emily BluntAugust 31, 2015 at 8:23 pm #193576
Jennifer Jason Leigh
Isabella RosselliniAugust 31, 2015 at 8:43 pm #193577
Elizabeth Banks from that poll. I loved Love & Mercy and she was the standout. I hope she gets at least an Indie Spirit nom and some random critic love.August 31, 2015 at 9:34 pm #193578
1. Kristen Stewart
2. Rachel McAdams / Emily Blunt
3. Elle FanningSeptember 1, 2015 at 1:10 am #193579
Emily Blunt- I have been waiting since Devil Wears Prada!

Any of Vikander, Olsen, McAdams and Larson.
Not seen any of the films they are noted for here. Based on the buzz and trailers, and what these actresses have done before, they deserve it ahead of the others for me.
Most likely to actually get a nomination of those four? Probably Vikander.
If I were pushed to give one a nod….maybe Larson because she was stellar in Short Term 12, and by the looks of it, Room could be killer for her.September 1, 2015 at 3:33 am #193581
Originally, I said Brie Larson, but I went with Emily Blunt. She has been on the verge of one for years.September 1, 2015 at 3:37 am #193582
Umm, where the fuck is Charlotte Rampling? The one who’s actually overdue for nomination (Danner too but not as much as Queen Charlotte).September 1, 2015 at 7:43 am #193583
