I was wondering which big recent event do you feel someone will make a movie or biopic in the future?March 12, 2017 at 11:02 pm #1202035507
Not a movie, but I can’t wait for Ryan Murphy to make a show about major mistakes, with the first season being about this years Oscars.March 13, 2017 at 9:48 am #1202035851
Just a few I could think of but separated into three groups:
1)Park Geun-hye is removed as President of South Korea by the Constitutional Court
2)The 141st Kentucky Derby is held at the Churchill Downs racecourse in Louisville, Kentucky, with American Pharoah ridden by Victor Espinoza winning in front of a record crowd
3)Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts’s veto on state legislators’ vote to ban the death penalty in the state is overridden, making Nebraska the first Republican-controlled state to ban the death penalty since 1973
4)Convicted murderer David Sweat is shot and apprehended by police near the Canada–US border 22 days after escaping from the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York
5)September 18th events: Following explosions in Seaside Park, New Jersey, and Manhattan, New York, on the previous day, another explosive device was discovered at a transit station in Elizabeth. The device was accidentally detonated in the early hours of September 19 when operated on by a bomb squad robot.
6)The World Health Organization announces an outbreak of the Zika virus
7)Ex-Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadžić is sentenced to 40 years in prison after being found guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity committed during the Bosnian War
Could be good but not sure if people would see the movie:
1)The Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People’s Army sign a revised peace deal, bringing an end to the Colombian conflict.
2)A collision between a train and a prison transport bus near Penwell, Texas leaves at least eight prisoners and two corrections officers dead: January 14, 2015
3)Former CIA director and U.S. Army officer David Petraeus pleads guilty in federal court to a charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified information
Random but could be good:
1) A federal judge sentences former Governor of Virginia Robert F. McDonnell to two years in prison on federal corruption chargesMarch 14, 2017 at 1:21 pm #1202036881
I think that a Michael Phelps biopic would be amazing. Possibly named “Swim”?March 14, 2017 at 1:48 pm #1202036906
The past US election with Annette playing Hilary and Alec playing Trump and Will Smith playing Obama. Annette just needs her hairstyle and character personality from American Beauty and she’s good to go. The movie could just be called “Hilary”. But this won’t happen at least until Trump is done with his presidency I think.March 14, 2017 at 2:24 pm #1202036939
Expect many 9/11-related films in our lifetime. Biopics on Hillary and Trump. I’d like to see something about how Brexit came about. Ferguson, Treyvon Martin, William & Kate, Putin, etc. More character-based stories than necessarily “events,” with some exceptions.March 14, 2017 at 2:46 pm #1202036952
Gotta be a Hillary biopic.
If the right actress is on board and the biopic is professional, it is a guaranteed Oscar win for the actress.
Annette, now is your time to shine.
Also, I don’t think there can ever be a serious biopic of Trump, he is just too comical.
Would also like to see a Angela Merkel/Theresa May biopic. One about Merkel basically being the leader of the free world in a world with Trump and Putin on either side and one about May dealing with Brexit etc.March 14, 2017 at 2:57 pm #1202036956
If it was made right and a top director was attached, I’d like to see a movie based on the inner workings of Wikileaks. The beginning of their Russian collusion to alter big events.
Get Benedict Cumberbatch to play Julian Assange and Christoph Walz as Vladimir Putin.March 14, 2017 at 4:50 pm #1202037007

This. I WANT THIS!*
Talk about transformative performances in a way that we don’t see often.
Keep working on the title though…
*Directors with cheap patriotic tones don’t apply. Also no all-life-summary basic biopics are allowed. Archetypal sports movies structure not recommended.
