Young Actors don’t get enough love by Hollywood or the Academy for that matter. As only a couple of these actresses have been recognized by them. And that has only happened because they were in good movies and happened to give a good performance. See most of these actresses deserve to be recognized, what are your thoughts?April 21, 2012 at 10:05 am #60292
Both Emmas for sure, and of course overdue Dakota.April 21, 2012 at 10:16 am #60293
I dont see Emma watson ever getting one.April 21, 2012 at 10:41 am #60294
My gawd, they have their whole career in front of them. Why does any of them need to win before they turn 25?April 21, 2012 at 12:03 pm #60295
I dont see Emma watson ever getting one.
Why is that? She’s a talented, respected actress who picks good directors and good films.April 21, 2012 at 3:24 pm #60296
out of all of them Emma watson is not the most talented at all……….. Saoirse Ronan isApril 21, 2012 at 4:37 pm #60297
Yeah, I agree Watson is the least talented one. But I don’t think Ronan is the most. I think she is a pretty good actress, but in this group, I’d say Jennifer Lawrence.April 21, 2012 at 5:05 pm #60298
Oh please Watson is very talented, and much better than half those ladies. Just because her filmography consists of just Harry Potter doesn’t mean she’s bad. She was a standout in MWWM. She’s doing more diverse roles this year, so people can’t put her down.
Ronan is talented but she’s very overrated. Dakota is by far the most talented in this group, she just needs to pick out better films.April 21, 2012 at 5:14 pm #60299
Dakota’s only performance to truly impress me as in “Runaways”. Besides that, I always thought she was a bit overrated, just like Ronan. They’re both pretty good, but people always make them sound other-worldly. Lawrence is not other-worldly either, but I like the quiet intensity she brings to her roles. The girl got chops.April 21, 2012 at 5:15 pm #60300
Watson is fantastic! I mean her performance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 was Oscar nomination worthy.April 21, 2012 at 5:21 pm #60301
I personally would rank them like this:
2- Elle Fanning
3- (tie) Ronan and Moretz
5- (tie) Dakota and Steinfeld – need to see more from her though
6- WatsonApril 21, 2012 at 5:22 pm #60302
Elle>Dakota so far in their careers.April 21, 2012 at 5:28 pm #60303

I agree! Along with Part II as well. Shes doing a very baity film with Sophia Coppola, so there’s Oscar hope there.April 21, 2012 at 5:35 pm #60304

The only thing I didn’t like about Part 2 was that she barely spoke. And when she did she was great. I just don’t think there was enough of her.April 21, 2012 at 5:44 pm #60305
^I couldn’t agree more.
I may be in the minority but I thought Stone was Oscar worthy in Easy A. She
played that role like it was meant for her, and was impressive in every scene.
However all this awards season she acted like a pretentious little c**nt,
acting like her and the Help crew were more superior over everyone or
something. I hope she’s not like that in real life.
Of all these ladies, I think Lawrence
is on her way to winning. She’s the most respected, growing popular, and got
into Best Actress in an extremely competitive year for a small Indie film. She
knows what films to pick as well.
