It’s insane that the person hasn’t been announced yet, but who should annonce the nominees?
Their likely choice is Rooney Mara. Young, recent nominee, has work lined up, fresh face.
Other possibilities are Octavia Spencer, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Jean Dujardin, Berenice Bejo, Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Moretz or maybe even somebody like Kyle Chandler or Paul Rudd.
Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron are possible but they may be ineligible since they are contenders for nominations this year, albeit longshots.January 6, 2013 at 7:23 pm #81919
Yep, someone who has a movie coming up in the next weeks or month.. Emma Stone maybe?January 6, 2013 at 7:28 pm #81920
Wasn’t this just talked about in the presenters thread? Here’s my list from that thread, with the top choices being either Mara or Spencer.
Some possibilities (all women since that’s usually how they go with a few exceptions, like Adrian Brody and Forest Whitaker):

I like the Rooney Mara idea..January 6, 2013 at 7:48 pm #81922
They should go with Dujardin. He’d be fun and lively and you need that since nominations are announced so early.January 6, 2013 at 7:53 pm #81923
Well this wont happen, but since they’re doing a Bond retrospective this year, an iconic Bond “girl” such as Halle Berry, Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman, Michelle Yeoh, Sophie Marceau, Eva Green, Rosamund Pike, Gemma Arterton.January 6, 2013 at 7:56 pm #81924
Great idea!!January 6, 2013 at 8:05 pm #81925
I’d love to see this happen at the ceremony! Thanks dannyboy.January 6, 2013 at 8:16 pm #81926
I second Gabourey Sidibe.January 6, 2013 at 8:17 pm #81927
Faye Dunaway should do it solo.January 6, 2013 at 10:06 pm #81928
I like when they get a winner from the previous ceremony, usually Best Supporting Actress, to co-present the award, so my vote is for Octavia Spencer. Plus, I liked the personality she showed during the season and all. I think she’d be funnier and livelier than Rooney would be.January 7, 2013 at 12:04 am #81929
On the assumption that Octavia Spencer presents best supporting actor, I think Ronney Mara follows the trend most – otherwise Melissa McCarthy or even Bernice Bejo (unlikely though) could present.
