So “Burnt” bombed at the box office and managed only a meager 28% at Rotten Tomatoes.
Does this make Bradley Cooper a frontrunner to “win” a Razzie?November 2, 2015 at 6:17 am #197019
I don’t think so. Burnt’s reception won’t exactly, or I guess, will help his cause. But they don’t love him the way they love Adam Sandler.November 2, 2015 at 6:42 am #197020
I don’t think he will win, but I can definitely see Cooper getting a Worst Actor nomination not just for “Burnt”, also for “Aloha” and “Serena” as well.November 2, 2015 at 7:12 am #197021
I can see the nomination happening and them grouping Burnt in with Aloha and Serena like Teleflick but I dont think he will win since a certain actor has a western coming out on Netflix that they seem to love lol.November 2, 2015 at 8:08 am #197022
Adam Sandler has already won like one hundred of these. He’s not winning any this year. He’ll get his obligatory Meryl Streep nomination but that’s it. If it was my decision I would choose without a blink Johnny Depp for his dreadful performance in Mortdecai. So bad so BAD. But Bradley is gonna win. He’s a movie star in couple of flops one year and those win 99% of time. You haven’t made it in Hollywood unless you win Razzie so good for him!November 2, 2015 at 8:24 am #197023
I don’t think he has a chance of being nominated for Burnt alone (his reviews really weren’t bad compared to the film as a whole), but I agree a joint nom with Aloha and Serena could happen. But I hate these joint noms for Razzies, they make the list look so cluttered. It would be funnier if they mocked the prestige of the Oscars, nominating actors for one film only and doing away with categories like worst remake/sequel.November 2, 2015 at 9:37 am #197024
I don’t think so. It doesn’t look like a Razzie-worthy movie.November 2, 2015 at 9:44 am #197025
While I imagine that the Razzies would love to honour someone nominated for three consecutive Oscars, Burnt wont even be remembered in a few weeks. I think Aloha will be his bigger ticket to a nomination. That one’s going to sweep.November 2, 2015 at 11:02 am #197026
In the end three of his movies has flopped, so nope, I don’t feel that he’s undeserving for the win.November 2, 2015 at 12:03 pm #197028
I hope not. He doesnt need anymore attention.
I dont think he absolutely ‘stinks’ as an actor, nor do I care one way or another about his project choices; although, he’s waaay ‘choosier’ than Sandler. He can be “ok”, like he is as Rocket, the feisty raccoon….but Oscar nominated three times??? Gach. Pleeez.
He reminds me of the William Hurt character in Broadcast News; exactly, only, he isnt as good as Hurt is portraying the lucky (white, male, tall, good-looking, etc) sob.
When he wins his Oscar, I hope it’s for a worthy performance. Maybe he can take some pointers from Ben Affleck.November 2, 2015 at 4:43 pm #197029

Was it you who raised this possibility in another thread a few days ago? I want to give credit where it is due because I am very intrigued by this trio sealing the deal. I am not completely sold on it though because I do not think that his performance has actually received much of the blame for those failures, which I think will hold him behind someone like Johnny Depp for the win where he actually is Mortdecai.November 3, 2015 at 12:21 am #197031
“Burnt” was an absolutely terrible film. However, Cooper’s performance was just fine…
That being said the Razzies do like to clomp several clunkers together and with 3 films (Serena, Aloha, Burnt) tanking in a row, and none of them any good, I’d say he’s likely getting the Worst Actor nom. I just doubt he’d win.November 3, 2015 at 9:10 am #197032
The Razzies SUCK anyway and deserve to be ignored like the 80’s relic they are… #johnbwilsonisathief
