PIXAR might be making a comeback, and I have a lot of confidience in this film. I wonder if it does really well, it’ll do good enough to make it a field of expanded nominees.

At the moment, it is in my head as getting into the Best Picture line up.

I trust Pete Docter enough to deliver the best Pixar film since Toy Story 3, and to follow suit and get into the Best Picture field.

It will be interesting with the kind of films that get nominated for Best Picture next year, because for the past few years Cannes-premiering films have had a mixed result with Oscar nods i.e. Inside Llewyn Davis, Foxcatcher, Nebraska, Fruitvale Station, Moonrise Kingdom, Amour, Mud, Midnight In Paris, Tree of Life, Drive, Melancholia, The Artist.

It will be interesting this year too considering that on-paper contenders Inside Out, Irrational Man, Sea of Trees, Carol and Macbeth will all be premiering at Cannes.

On paper so far, it’s looking good — assuming it’s a high quality Pixar product and they maintain an extended BP field.

The premise is insanely original. First animated movie I’m SALIVATING to watch since Finding Nemo!

Let’s see if it turns out good or not first, I’m excited for it . I do love most of Pixar movies (I don’t hate any of them, at worst for is just meh…). Some years I thought the Pixar was much better than the Best Picture winner (I thought Brave was so much better movie than Argo for example).

+1 to that! Brave was way criticized for all kind of reasons that were factor at the time but in retrospective it is a damn good film.

If Inside Out it’s as fine as it is in my head, then an absolute yes. Our first Best Picture nominee of the year.

I do hope it becomes more beloved over time (I loved it since I first saw it), Some Disney Classics that are now beloved now a day’s weren’t critically respected back in the day Lady and the Tramp is an example of this.

I like to add that I thought Toy Story was so much better than Braveheart.

If it’s a return to Pixar’s form, it can get in with an expanded field. Disney might end up getting 3 films nominated for BP this year (Bridge of Spies, Star Wars, and Inside Out)

I might get some slack for this but I don’t see it. While I think it will win animated feature ( Unless the good dinosaur is better) I don’t see it in BP. I honestly am not really that excited to see the film but hopefully I’m wrong because I’m rooting for another classic animated feature like Up or Ratatouille. We haven’t had one since Toy story 3.
