Will ‘The Intern’ be a Golden Globe favorite for Robert De Niro or Anne Hathaway? It seems like something up their alley. What did you think of the film? It made $17 million over the weekend, not too shabby.
I liked it. I have always been a sucker for light, fluffy comedies with heart. And The Intern has lots of heart. The performances don’t really stand out, but the entire film leaves you with a great message: Unusual, weird and against the norm is OK. Open your eyes, and you will see that inspiration and good friends come in all kinds of shapes (and ages). I think the Globes might go for the film more than the performances.
At this point, why the hell not!
Nancy Vanilla Meyers better make another Private Benjamin. She’s so conventional these days. I hate that in filmmakers.
