At the last Globes, Julianne Moore, Bill Murray and Mark Ruffalo were among the double nominees.

This upcoming season, who is most likely, or who WILL, follow in their footsteps and get a double dip of a bid at the Globes? Or even the Oscars, if there is a possibility?

Amy Schumer, acting nominations for both Trainwreck and The Amy Schumer Show.

If the globes REALLY like her, maybe even a writing nomination for Trainwreck (doubt it though).

It’s a long shot as critic’s didn’t particularly like True Detective this season but Colin Farrell for Lead Actor in a Limited Series whilst also getting a nomination for Best Actor in Motion Picture – Comedy for The Lobster.

If rumour’s are to be believed then Cate Blanchett could get a lead nomination for Truth and a Supporting nomination for Carol. Although I personally doubt she will go into supporting for Carol but it is a possibility.

Amy Schumer for Trainwreck & Inside Amy Schumer is actually the most likely double nominee at this year’s Globe’s.

Okay I love Amy Schumer but her being nominated at the Globes for a variety show would be crazy no one has been nominated for a variety show since the 70’s. Right?

Jane Fonda hosted the HFPA grand banquet past month. According to HFPA members attending to those events is more important than getting good reviews or being in a decent project.

She will get double nominated for Grace and Frankie and Supporting Actress for Youth.
The same goes to her co-star Lily Tomlin(Grace and Frankie, Grandma)

Unless Schumer is eligible for that category, one of these two woman will win Best Actress-Comedy Series. Sorry, JLD… ugh, again.

Probably Amy Schumer and maybe even Bradley Cooper (Best Actor-M/C for Burnt and BSA for Joy if he rides the movie’s coattails).

Jane Fonda – Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (‘Youth’) and Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical Series (‘Grace and Frankie’)

Maggie Smith – Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or TV Movie (‘Downton Abbey’) and Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical (‘The Lady in the Van’)

Amy Schumer – Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical (‘Trainwreck’) and Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical Series (‘Inside Amy Schumer’)

Can someone tell me would Cinderella be considered Comedy/Musical by HFPA? If it would be then Blanchett could be double nominee. Best actress in Lead Role – Drama for Carol and Best actress in Lead Role – Comedy/Musical for Cinderella.

Honestly, if Meryl could have been nominated for “Into the Woods”, Blanchett should get a nom for “Cinderella”.

Have you seen the film? She’s 100% supporting. Lily James is 100% lead. And she’s not happening. Neither does Blanchett in supporting.

And maybe Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”?

Well, I think Blanchett was the first one credited in the movie. I would consider her role to be supporting, or perhaps (stretching a term a bit) co-lead. As for Lily, I know she is not happening. I was just thinking Blanchett as the lead. In supporting category there is already too much crowd.

Cinderella would probably be considered Comedy/Musical. Blanchett may well be campaigned (if they are planning on a Globes bid) lead, because of her status. She is also the best thing about the film.

Weirder things have happened with the Globes. *cough*The Tourist*cough*

Smith, Tomlin, and Fonda seem the most likely. Cinderella isn’t very funny but being Disney maybe they could pull that loophole. Many people get into that category for supporting roles and Cate Blanchett could definitely go lead name alone.

I think Kate Winslet could get in Lead Actress- Musical or Comedy for The Dressmaker if it gets a US release, as well as Supporting Actress- Motion Picture for Steve Jobs.

I think Amy Schumer will do it for Trainwreck & Inside Amy Schumer, as well as Lily Tomlin for G&F and Grandma, as well as possibly Jane Fonda for G&F and Youth.  Maggie Smith is a possibility as well if they still like her for Downton Abbey.

I don’t buy the Globes nominating a variety performance. As much as I love Schumer I don’t think she’ll make it in
