Only “Drive” for Adapted Screenplay was in my ballot. LOL! I guess good choices all around.

“Take Shelter” is such a refreshing choice for Independent Film. I can’t wait to see it.

Seriously, when is it going to be available to torrent?

This voting was open to members here and the consensus selection was The Artist? I am not sure which is worse – the slate of movie released in 2011 or the collective taste of movies by this site’s members.

The members here also snubbed Michel Hazanavicius in directing.

I think it stinks that people voted for Fincher over Malick.  I guess the lesson to be learned is: Don’t aim too high — it’s better to remake Swedish movies.

    Also, no Best Animated?

WTF is worng with you?! Just because the site’s members seem to agree with the big award shows on Best Picture doesn’t mean they have bad taste! ‘The Artist’ was my favorite movie of the year and I didn’t even vote and apparently it seems to be many others favorite as well!

Whoa! Look at all the love for Dragon Tattoo! Love the silent majority!

Not happy with the costume win for “The Artist”. George and Meryl winning is a big surprise, considering that, some feel those are ‘offensive’ choices. LOL!
50/50 gets lots of love from us as well. Perhaps I’ll break down and watch it. Big ‘maybe’.

    Overall pretty nice wins.
    Thanks Trent!

No, the lesson is to make a good movie. That’s all that should matter. However, neither flick is that special.
