    Films with Oscar nominations:
    Click
    Norbit
    Batman Forever
    WaterWorld
    Transformers;revenge of the fallen
    Mirror Mirror

    Films without an Oscar Nom:
    The Big Lebowski
    The big sleep
Once upon a time in the west
    Paths of Glory
    the Searchers
    The Shining
    Reservoir Dogs
    Dark Knight Rises
    just to name a few

I know the bad films were only for techs, but still just the title and prestiege of being an Academy nominated film usually stands for something. And the complete shutout of TDKR for any techs is just terrible. Very sad to see some of these classics not even considered

I know “The Lovely Bones” got one nomination for Stanley Tucci but It is really one of my favorite movie of the last 10 years, I felt in love with it right away & I was truely shoked by It’s critical reception which was pretty negative & with a lot of controversy but in my opinion it deserved multiple nominations for best picture, director, actress, supp actor & actress, cinematography, music… I would’ve gave it at least 13 freaking nominations, seriously.

What about last year Rust & Bone? I mean, is Benh Zeitin more talented than Audiard? don’t think so. The cinematography is so gorgeous I don’t get how they could’ve passed it & I don’t even want to start about it’s leading actress which was even more deserving.

With zero nomination there is also Luc Besson’s The Lady, Such a good movie and not even one nomination. Michel Yeoh delivered THE BEST WORK of her long career and she gets… nothing, absolutely nothing.

Also with zero nomination, anything from James Gray! One of the last and best true american autor.

Usually it’s in the foreign language film of the year that the biggest injustice happens. I’m so sick of their “one movie per country” rule. Honestly I’m a big fan of French cinema and after us they certainly make most of the best international movies every year, I still can’t believe France did’nt won in 13 years (Yeah this year it’s already dead for “Intouchables”, not that it was very deserving for once but still no nomination?). And not just France of course, some country make more than just one great movie per year!
