2016 is now over, and as many of us film buffs do, we look back on the year and reflect on the absolute best and worst in film. Oh boy, there were many terrible films I endured in 2016, so terrible I made a top 15 instead of a top 10. Here’s my list:

Dishonorable Mentions: Morgan, The Fundamentals Of Caring, The Boy, Trolls, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Free State Of Jones, Demolition, I Saw The Light, The Forest, Rules Don’t Apply, The Secret Life Of Pets, Now You See Me 2, London Has Fallen, When The Bough Breaks, Office Christmas Party

Top 15 Worst Films Of 2016:
    1. Dirty Grandpa
    2. The Brothers Grimsby
    3. The Boss
    4. Masterminds
    5. Gods Of Egypt
    6. Why Him?
    7. Ride Along 2
    8. The Darkness
    9. Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates
    10. How To Be Single
    11. God’s Not Dead 2
    12. Ben-Hur
    13. The Angry Birds Movie
    14. The Choice
    15. Keeping Up With The Joneses

Feel free to add your own worst lists. I’m curious to what you all hated in 2016 in terms of bad movies.

I actually liked Passengers, Sully and Nocturnal Animals. But I certainly didn’t like Office Christmas Party or The Secret Life Of Pets.

I totally forgot about Get A Job. Talk about a movie that sat on the shelf for several years and then came and went in the blink of an eye!!

Didn’t watch too many bad movies since I saw less movies in general this year, but 13 Hours is atrocious thinly veiled propoganda. Made mistake of watchunh it to see if it could be player in sound categories. That’s a hard no.

This sentiment won’t sit well with everyone but I thought The Lobster was pretty darn atrocious, a pretentious, heavy-handed mess, lifted only marginally by Colin Farrell’s committed, if hopeless performance.

But yes, Suicide Squad was certainly THE worst.

I am glad I am not the only one who absolutely hated The Lobster.

Also, serious question, did you guys actually see all these terrible movies?! Who has the time?

The worst movie I saw was this bizarre little movie called Mojave which I only saw for Oscar Isaac – one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Suicide Squad was also pretty awful but I don’t really judge movies like that as harshly as movies that consider themselves “serious films” because it wasn’t exactly striving for high art.

Worst I saw all year was “Dirty Grandpa” until “Nine Lives” came out. That’s a tie from Hell
