This, along with Godzilla, are films that I really look forward to next year. I enjoyed First Class. Not as good as X2 but hella fun. and very snob-free.

They recently released some kick-ass posters.

I’m surprised at how big this movie is going to be. The cast is huge! But its feeling like a proper X-Men film.

Trask is the creator of the Sentinels!

After seeing The Wolverine, which was the best X-Men film since X2 and revived the franchise IMO, I’m looking forward to this. The big cast is both great and a cause for concern, given how the last few films have felt overstuffed with characters, and some of them being reduced to cameos. If Singer pulls this off, the X-Men film series (at least this iteration before it inevitably goes back to Marvel) may be around for a lot longer.

I really hope it’s THE X-Men film. Such a huge cast but bringing the two sets is really risky. lol As you can see, I’m not really familiar with X-Men mythology as much as I’d like to think.

I’m excited for this. I love the posters, I love the design for the Sentinels, and I love the original story and First Class was my favorite X-Men film. This has so much potential.

Boogawooga, Days of Future Past is one of the X-Men’s biggest storylines, which did bring present and future X-Men together. So if Fox was going to do this story, they would have to bring the casts together. I think the total number of main actors/characters is between 15-20. That’s a lot, so I hope Singer finds a way to utilize all of them properly.

Days of Future Past is only a two-issue story in the X-Men comics. #141 & #142. Both issues are on Comixology for $2. Well worth reading.

I see. Again, not being familiar with the story, I can’t really comment on anything. Do you know if those 15-20 characters will have a significant, if not, sufficient role in the film? I feel like with all the X-men movies, some just end up with cameo parts. I’m really wondering how they’ll be tying up Rogue and Ice-man into the “past” cast.

I need to go see the Wolverine. I’m a little hesitant after the first trainwreck of an Origin story, but I think I’ll give it a try.

The 15-20 number was for the film. The comic book pares down the cast a lot. As for The Wolverine, go see it. Origins was a POS, but The Wolverine redeems the series.

Days of Future Past is probably the most significant X-Men story in the comic’s history. The filmmakers are going to have big expectations (especially from fans) and if they don’t deliver it will be tragic.

    Nevertheless, I’m excited for this!

Looking forward to this.  The first picture posted is fantastic.  I’ve also seen a picture of Singer standing next to a Sentinel. It looked great.
