Everyone here keep doing predictions but every now and then someone is biased and predicts a personal favorite even if the chances aren´t very good (I know I do it…)

So post here your personal wishlist for this year´s oscar race! Do as many categories as you want and highlight your winners…

Having seen maybe 25-30 films this year and only a few amongst the Oscar fare (Argo, Lincoln, Moonrise Kingdom, Beasts etc), I have got tons of catching up to do. But from those I have seen, Anna Karenina, Cloud Atlas and Holy Motors are my 3 favorite films by a huge margin. I would be thrilled with any mentions for these 3 films.

Among the more realistic choices, I am rooting for Moonrise Kingdom, but don’t actively dislike any of the films currently in contention  (perhaps disappointed a little by Beasts of the Southern Wild) which speaks to the overall high quality of competition this year.

I have yet to see “Les Miz”, “Zero Dark Thirty”, “Amour”, “Django Unchained” and other late years releases but amongst the films I have seen I would like to see as of now…

    Best Picture:
“The Master” (so far my top film of the year)
    “Moonrise Kingdom”
    “Lincoln”
    “Skyfall”
    “Silver Linings Playbook”

(Amongst likely best picture nominees I think “Argo” and to a lesser degree “Life of Pi” are good films but do not find them worthy best picture nominees)

    Best Director:
    Paul Thomas Anderson- “The Master”
    Wes Anderson- “Moonrise Kingdom”
    Steven Spielberg- “Lincoln”
    Sam Mendes- “Skyfall”

    Best Actor:
    Joaquin Phoenix- “The Master”
    Daniel Day Lewis- “Lincoln”
Philip Seymour Hoffman- “The Master” (I believe he should be in lead rather than supporting)
    John Hawkes- “The Sessions”
    Bradley Cooper- “Silver Linings Playbook”

    Best Actress:
Helen Hunt- “The Sessions” (I believe she should be in lead)
Quvenzhane Wallis- “Beasts of the Southern Wild”
    Jennifer Lawrence- “Silver Linings Playbook”

    Best Supporting Actor:
    Tommy Lee Jones- “Lincoln”
Ezra Miller- “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”
    Robert DeNiro- “Silver Linings Playbook”
    Javier Bardem- “Skyfall”

    Best Supporting Actress:
    Sally Field- “Lincoln”
    Jacki Weaver- “Silver Linings Playbook”
