Getting towards that pre-Cannes time of the year where people start thinking of their best of the year so far. So, here’s your chance.

What is the order for your top ten of the year so far? (Or fewer if you’ve seen fewer).

I’ve only seen ten films so far, so there’s a full(ish) range of quality on my list currently.

    1. Midnight Special
    2. Deadpool
    3. 10 Cloverfield Lane
    4. Eddie The Eagle
    5. Zootopia
    6. Hail, Caesar
    7. High Rise
    8. Kung Fu Panda 3
    9. Jane Got A Gun
    10. Knight of Cups

There’s a big gap for me between places 6 & 7. Plus, places 2-4 are relatively interchangeable at the moment. Still, it’s been a decent year for me so far. Hope it continues to impress.

I’ve only seen 15 so far. Kind of difficult now that I’m back in my hometown away from large theaters with lots of indies and host free screenings.

    Hail, Caesar!
    The Lobster
    Deadpool
    Knight of Cups
    Batman V Superman

    1. Sing Street
    2. 10 Cloverfield Lane
    3. Zootopia
    4. The Witch
    5. Midnight Special

Absolutely loved Sing Street. So much that, even though we’re only in May, I really can’t imagine anything else being released later this year knocking it out from my #1 spot.

    1. Deadpool
    2. The Jungle Book
    3. 10 Cloverfield Lane
    4. Zootopia
    5. Batman v Superman
    6. Captain America: Civil War
    7. X Men Apocalypse
    8. The Boss
    9. How to be Single
    10. Zoolander 2

Haven’t seen much, so that’s not necessarily a “best of” list. Only Deadpool might end up in my year end top 10 or close to it.

“Hail, Caesar!” would rank as the worst film I’ve seen so far. I thought it was a complete waste of time, which is sad because I was very excited to see it being a Coens film with this cast and even Roger Deakins back with them. But no. Terrible, I had a better time watching other awful or questionable films like Zoolander, Dirty Grandpa and even The Huntsman which is also going to the “Worst” list.
