Pretty good choices. Confused on why “Thrift Shop” isn’t on it but “Same Love” is……other than that it’s a pretty impressive listing.

I get it now. Well, the song choices are pretty great nonetheless.

I’m glad they went with the topical and SOTY nominee “Same Love” versus the big hit of “Thrift Shop.” I’m a bit surprised that both James Blake and Ed Sheeran made the list. They could have easily double-dipped with Justin with “Suit & Tie” or maybe include Rihanna for “Stay.” Wish some other genre besides country made the rest of the album. This would have been nice exposure for those weirdo R&B nominees, for example. They go to the rock genre fields sometimes in past years as well.

I wasn’t shocked by the James Blake inclusion. I am glad he was but I was hoping Tamar Braxton would have gotten on the CD instead.

James Blake is a Best New Artist nominee. Don’t they usually include all of them?

I think they chose Country Album because they already had Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves thanks to their General Field nominations, so they only needed three more songs. Plus country is very popular.

For an R&B category, they would need five more songs, most of them pretty obscure.

I think they chose the nominees for ROTY, SOTY, BNA, Pop Solo and Country Album.

No, they don’t always include all five BNA nominees in these compilations.
