Does being black mean you are automatically ‘urban’? Cause it seems like that’s the general consensus around here.

I was trying to make this point yesterday, but the forum was stalling! Thank you for calling this out

It’s been 14 years since the last time a country act was completely shut out of the GF, do you really think no one will get nominated, despite big hits? At the very least you’re gonna get a BNA bid for the country scene.

Honey, Alicia Keys will be snubbed. Her album has been totally forgotten about. Besides, she’s been snubbed in the R&B field before.

Rock bands with huge pop hits have been nominated before (i.e. Twenty One Pilots).

The Weeknd’s album is Pop with Urban influences. Could go either way.

I think ‘Feels’ will be nominated in pop duo. ‘I Don’t Wanna Life Forever’ will be snubbed in pop duo but will appear in best song written for visual media.

I feel like “Slide” is the better song but I guess Frank Ocean might not allow for it to be submitted.

Im gonna go out on a limb. I think Miley will take last spot of Pop Vocal purely because selfwritten album that is slower than her old stuff.
