Do you think Katy Perry can get any nomination? Of course Witness won’t get any as there’s too much competition for AOTY and Best Pop Vocal Album and it isn’t one of the best albums released this year, but maybe the social critical song CTTR can get an nom for Best Pop Duo/Group song, it’s one of the most successful songs this year (+4M WW). I don’t know… her best shot is probably Feels for Best Pop DG though it sounds sad.

She’s not gonna get a nomination. Pop DG is too crowded. Feels is already forgotten.

    Bruno Mars – 24K Magic

This is the third consecutive year I’m predicting Alessia Cara for Best New Artist. I’ll be shocked if she doesn’t get in this time.

This weekend. According to Billboard they vote the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The date of their 2-day session is always kept secret. So no one knows.

Kendrick Lamar is expect to dominate Rap catergory but not General Field. I can still see Kendrick winning AOTY, but I feel that Ed Sheeran may pull a shocking upset in AOTY!

An Ed Sheeran win would not be “shocking,” though. It would be predictably safe.

Grammys don’t give a shit about meta critic. Kendrick will lose again!

In that case I’m glad I never said he was going to win because of metacritic. What I said was that a win for Kendrick, who is one of the most acclaimed artists of the decade wouldn’t be embarrassing or cringeworthy.

I see it the same way. In the last two years, the winners had big selling pop albums with big selling singles. In 2013 and 2015 we had male artists that played guitar. These albums were reasonably safe and unadventurous. Ed Sheeran is all of those things.

I’m starting to think Chris Stapleton will get his second consecutive nomination for AOTY.

I’ve been back and forth between LCD Soundsystem, Father John Misty and Chris Stapleton, and Stapleton makes the most sense of all of them.

Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Chris Stapleton and SZA are my final predictions for AOTY.

I agree with this, with a possibility of Lorde snagging a spot of someone.

Most people still see The Weeknd as a frontrunner too.

I would say Pop Group is between “Feel It Still,” “Thunder,” “I Feel It Coming,” and “Something Just Like This.” “Despacito” will probably get the “One Sweet Day” treatment. Gets ROTY and Pop Group noms and loses both.
