Yes, chile! Unless P!nk sells like Adele, she won’t win. She’ll be able to easily secure a Best Pop Vocal Album nom. She’s been snubbed a lot in Best Pop Solo Performance.
I personally think she has been snubbed a few times in Pop Vocal Album. We were all sure of her win for ‘Funhouse’ in 2010 yet she lost to The Black Eyed Peas (???) which was one of the biggest Grammy errors in history. I think she would beat Kelly nowadays as Ms Clarkson isn’t holding up the popularity as much as Pink is, while Sam Smith is similar to Pink. He needs to do something different to stand out. Wouldn’t it be sick if Christina makes a good and strong comeback and goes against P!nk and Kelly (and possibly JT) for a match of the early 2000’s.
Honey, the Black Eyed Peas were expected to win Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010. They were also nominated for AOTY. Pink didn’t stand a chance. Kelly Clarkson is well-liked by voters. Clarkson beat Pink in 2013. Sam Smith is also adored by the academy. Smith would easily defeat Pink.
Sadly, Christina Aguilera may not win another Grammy anytime soon or at all. 🙁

it’s way too early to lock anything in right now. So much other stuff could come along. Justin Timberlake has an album coming out next year, for one.
plus P!nk and Maroon 5 were snubbed for their last albums.

ReplyCopy URLOctober 6, 2017 at 10:38 am #1202231580You’re right. For some reason I thought it was passed over. Maroon 5’s definitely was though.

It was amazing and they deserved to win.

October 14, 2017 at 1:20 pm #1202237185Beck is a contender for Colors, although not in the general field. I do wonder in which category he’ll fit in this time, his last album is very pop. It will probably end up in Alternative I guess.
ReplyCopy URLOctober 14, 2017 at 8:47 pm #1202237351Apparently Twenty One Pilots is putting out an album during next grammys season. Seeing how they snagged themselves their first grammy, were the third most streamed album of the year, and broke multiple records on the charts, if it’s any good then it’s in. If Fueled By Ramen was smart, they would market the hell out of it. Hopefully they do that. I’m a fan of the band. Though the fanbase is literal cancer. With that said, would they get into Alternative, Rock or Pop?
ReplyCopy URLOctober 15, 2017 at 9:12 am #1202237597St. Vincent’s MASSEDUCTION is great. A sure bet for a nomination in Alternative Album!
ReplyCopy URLOctober 15, 2017 at 10:41 pm #1202238183Get real! The Black Eyed Peas did NOT deserve to win Best Pop Vocal Album. The E.N.D. is abysmal.
