What artist/what song would have been the runner up if the other song/artist wasn’t nominated. For example Record of the year Hello won but the runner up if hello wasn’t there would have been Formation.

Honey, I’ve always wondered who came in second place in 1990 for Best New Artist since Milli Vanilli were disqualified.

No way was it Tone Loc. It could’ve been Neneh Cherry, Soul II Soul, or Indigo Girls.

Soul II Soul, most likely. Didn’t they win two Grammys that year?

I think Whitney Houston would have won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “I’m Every Woman” and “Exhale” if it wasn’t for Toni Braxton.

Best R&B Performance for “Needed Me” (everyone predicted her to win)

also, Best R&B Song for “Kiss It Better” even Maxwell said “Kiss It Better” was his pick.
