I listen to Pandora a lot more in recent years and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the stations I create based on the music I like often spits out a lot of new music that I like.

Pandora is the reason I discovered the Canadian folk trio the Wailin’ Jennys, who I’d never have hear of from other avenues. Also EDM violinist Lindsey Stirling. Anybody else people randomly discovered through online radio?

It’s been so long since I last used Pandora… but I remember discovering Jon McLaughlin and becoming a fan instantly. This was back when he was still signed to Island/Def Jam. I’ve been following his work ever since. Love his writing!

I guess I would probably know who The Weeknd is by now, but I’ve known about him for years now just because of Pandora.
