One of the most prestigious British music awards on offer is back again, and this year moves from Channel 4 back to the BBC in the UK.
The longlist of 12 albums isn’t revealed until 16th October, with the ceremony on 20th November with live performances from the artists, before the winner is revealed.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes have started taking bets for this year’s prize, and they have listed 41 potential contenders. The list excludes albums yet to be released, and those released today, such as Lianne La Havas, The Maccabees, The Libertines, New Order and Foals.
Here are the artists currently on the bookies list, with their current odds:
4/1: Jamie xx
7/1: Everything Everything
10/1: Florence + The Machine, Wolf Alice
12/1: Blur, Nadine Shah
16/1: Drenge, Hot Chip, Paul Weller, Stornoway, Young Fathers
20/1: Andy Stott, East India Youth, Hudson Mohawke, James Bay, Krept & Konan, Laura Marling, Savages, The Vaccines
25/1: Django Django, Dutch Uncles, FFS, Little Boots, Marina And The Diamonds, Muse, Richard Dawson, Slaves, Sleaford Mods, SOAK, Swim Deep
33/1: Belle & Sebastian, Du Blonde, Frank Turner, Gaz Coombes, Julio Bashmore, Marc Almond, Peace, Public Service Broadcasting, The Cribs
50/1: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
66/1: Mumford And Sons
The 12 I’d go with so far:
Lianne La Havas
I wouldn’t count out Young Fathers, seeing as they won out of nowhere last year.

Eska – Eska
Florence + The Machine – How Big How Blue How Beautiful
Gas Coombes – Matador
