Yeah, of those I’ve only heard tracks from Billie Marten, Frances, Jack Garratt, Rat Boy and WESTRN.

I am currently team Jack Garratt all the way! He has already won the BRITs Critics Choice Award for next year, beating Frances and Izzy Bizzu. He is arguably the biggest name on there too. Years & Years had a bigger name than most on the list last year. Admittedly James Bay beat them to the BRITs Critics Choice, but both acts were so deserving of recognition.

I say that, and I have now heard Dua Lipa and Mura Masa today. Dua Lipa was really good! Had a sort of Jessie Ware meets Ella Eyre vibe going on.

Mura Masa is AMAZING. Excited to see them get more popular.

Jack Garrett 100% deserves all his success. Such a unique sound.

After now hearing tracks from all 15 artists in the list, and because the top five are revealed over the course of next week, here’s my rankings.

    My Preferred Top 5:
    1) Dua Lipa – Be The One is a fantastic track I cannot stop playing, and New Love is excellent too. Should find mass appeal with her music, and her music sounds amongst the most ‘complete’ when you listen to music from all 15 in a playlist.

    2) Jack Garratt – he’s already won the BBC Introducing Prize at the BBC Music Awards and the BRITs Critics Choice. Plus he had a great 2015 too, with many of his songs hitting the airwaves on BBC Radio. A great unique blend of different genres makes him appeal to multiple demographics. His album will be one of the most hotly anticipated of this year.

    3) Mura Masa – kind of like a Clean Bandit, and have collaborated with new acts NAO (also on the list) and Shura (criminally under-appreciated so far). With the right track and collaborating artist, they could do really well.

    4) Izzy Bizu – catchy R&B/Pop crossover along the lines of Ella Eyre, minus the powerhouse vocals, but still strong nonetheless. White Tiger is a stand out track, that should get radio play. She might do well, but not explosively so this year.

    5) Billie Marten – beautiful vocals for such a young female. I am a huge fan of acts like Birdy, so Marten is right up my street. Plus, I have caught a couple of her songs throughout 2915 on the radio. A real exciting prospect for 2016.

My Predictions For The Real Top 5:
    1) Jack Garratt
    2) Dua Lipa
    3) Rat Boy
    4) Frances
    5) Loyle Carner

The winner is revealed tomorrow – who will it be? (Probably Jack Garratt, but let’s try and create at least some tension).
