What are your five choices for the Best Album of the Year winners in Grammy history?

    My choices would be:

    Fleetwood Mac, Rumors
    Michael Jackson, Thriller
    Alanis Morisette, Jagged Little Pill
Lauren Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
    Adele, 21

Rumours is a pretty perfect album.  I love the tracking, how songs flow into others.  Never Going Back Again is a wonderful guitar feature, short song, acoustic, something you rarely see today on albums to break up songs.  Dreams is one of the greatest pop/blues-rooted songs of all time…if there is ever a song to feature one of the greatest rhythm sections of all time (Fleetwood on drums, McVie on bass guitar), it’s this one.  Go Your Own Way…what else can be said, a great anthem.  The Chain (another fantastic song), Gold Dust Woman (one of the all-time great female rock song), the sonically fascinating Oh Daddy, the groove of You Make Loving Fun.  It certainly says something when the least interesting song is Don’t Stop because it’s been played to death by Clinton campaigns.  It also says something when the song SIlver Springs, by itself an incredible composition by Stevie Nicks, was cut from the album…becoming one of the best songs to ever be dropped.
