Which of these boundary pushing male artists changed the worlds of fashion and music as we know them? Discuss.

Kayne looks like a bum compared to everyone else on this list. Definitly either Elton, Liberace, or Bowie

I would say David Bowie has had the biggest influence on fashion.

Biggest influence is a tough one but I had to go Elvis. Liberace had quite the interesting wardrobe lol but I am not sure if it influenced anyone.

The thing is, Kanye is becoming known for his fashion style, but it is evident he is trying much too hard, and it is becoming irritating. His fashion statements can be bold and shocking (*ahem* leather skirt), but he just makes it too clear he is trying too hard to make a statement, and that irritates me, because remember, parents who call themselves “cool” are hardly ever cool

Elton John and Liberace, to me, are in the same boat, as they both dressed very flamboyantly and very brightly. I think they are icons in music, but maybe not so much in fashion. Don’t get me wrong, they are both very important fashion icons, but I don’t necessarily know if people dress up to go to the mall like either of them

In my opinion, Michael Jackson and Elvis are the most important icons of fashion in music. Nearly everyone recognizes Elvis’ hairdo, capes and white suits, and there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t want Michael’s red leather jacket, awesome hat and of course the sparkling glove.

Andre 3000 is also really well-dressed and classy, but he isn’t iconic enough as a fashion figure. Pharrell will most certainly be the next big fashion icon, as he is really carving out a niche for himself with his fashion sense – just I can’t stand the mountie hat.

Elvis, easily. Little Richard (whom influenced Elvis’ flashier years) should be on the list

I agree. It was hard choosing a diverse group of 10. Too bad GD doesn’t allow unlimited choices on Poll threads.

Yeah I’m surprised more people haven’t voted for MJ! His style is basically a trademark.
