It’s hard because I don’t think Adele is bad winner for Hello, but Kelly deserves this much more and her song is much better.

Agreed! I thought Hello was great in of itself, but merely decent when compared to the soulful, more personal beauty of Piece by Piece.

I’m rooting for Kelly to win. A lot of you guys came after me saying, “Piece by Piece” will be long forgotten,” but clearly it has resonated with a lot of grammy voters.

no.. a lot of people on here actually predicted it to be nominated lmfao.

and getting nominated and actually winning are two different things as well. hello is winning.

    Will win: “Hello”
    Should win: “Piece by Piece”

“Hello” is a great worthy winner and Adele’s vocals are wonderful as always. However, Kelly’s vocals on the Idol version of “Piece by Piece” are just beyond and she truly should win.

“Hello” is the safest song Adele has ever released. The epitome of meh. Clarkson has upset in the past. Scooped up Pop Album over AOTY nominees two times. They love her, as they should.

This is the category I will pay attention to this year.

You guys are overthinking this one. Adele is easily winning. She beat Kelly in 2013 – when Stronger was nominated for both ROTY and SOTY – with a LIVE PERFORMANCE.

We’re not overthinking…just wishful thinking. I agree that Adele will win, but I would love to be wrong.

Didn’t “Set Fire to the Rain” (Live) upset “Stronger” in Pop Solo when “Stronger” was up for ROTY and SOTY? So, that goes both ways. And it’s not like Breakaway wasn’t a bigger smash than those AOTY-nominated albums, and Fun. were fads, so…

I’m sorry, Kelly Clarkson stans and Adele haters. If anyone beats Adele, it won’t be Kelly Clarkson.

    Should win: Kelly goddamn Clarkson

    Will win: Adele

This is Adele’s safest category. I’ll rank her nominations from safest win to least: Pop solo, Pop album, ROTY, SOTY, AOTY

Beyonce’s: Music Film, Rap/Sung, UC Album, Music Video………big space here….. SOTY, AOTY, Rock Performance, ROTY, Pop Solo

Adele will walk away with 3 Grammys in her WORST case scenario lmao. No way is she losing ROTY in my opinion. She could walk away with all 5 though.

Beyonce’s are less concrete but still likely, I think she takes 3 on a bad day and 5 on a good day. 2 from video, 1 from UC Album, 1 from Rap/sung, and 1 between AOTY and SOTY (doubt she’ll win both), BEST likely scenario tbh

I agree that this is another lock on Adele’s part, but Kelly Clarkson has managed to win some questionable Grammys before…don’t count her out. I think Adele’s easiest win is Pop Album, not necessarily this category.

I think they’re both equally easy tbh

I’d refer you to the Stronger/Set Fire to the Rain situation. Kelly’s most well received song couldn’t beat a live version of Adele’s THIRD single lmao. Again I love Kelly to death, but come on! Be realistic.

How was Female Pop or Pop Album (for Breakaway) questionable? Even if she wasn’t nominated for the general field categories, “Since U Been Gone” and Breakaway were HUGE.
