I don’t think “Happy” was “bigger” than “Shape of You,” not once you break down the stats. If it was about which song was bigger, “Shape of You” would win in a landslide here, while “Happy” went up against four other big hits.

Happy was much more impactful than SOY. I don’t even know the numbers, SOY may even be bigger but it doesn’t feel like it.

And I do believe SOY is gonna win, I just said that if it loses, it’ll be because of the style of the song, which is obvious. If it’s a matter of numbers, there’s no competition.

It’s very hard for me to think that Ed will win both of his nominations. Some people here are comparing him to Justin Timberlake’s “snub” in 2014, but Justin had 7 nominations there. Ed has 2, same amount Kesha and Gaga have. I think that he’s winning Pop Solo, but Pop Vocal he might be losing to Kesha. She had a ton of critical acclaim, and good sales, plus a hit. Gaga won’t get anything. I think both Pop Solo AND Pop Vocal are Kesha vs Ed because the Grammy’s look very “different” this year. There might be risks taken this year. Praying’s cultural impact was big, but unfortunately it wasn’t as big as Shape of You. I think that she’ll win Pop Vocal for 3 reasons: a) Ed seems to be acting petty about his noms and Grammy’s don’t like pettiness. b) Ed Sheeran will 100% get nominations next year for Perfect and his next single (probably a solo, so that he can submit in Pop Solo). His team will want his next songs to be eligible, plus the Grammy’s will save some of his Grammy’s for next year, when he inevitably wins Pop Duo for Perfect and ROTY as well. c) Kesha’s success story will be enough to cause controversy if she loses to the “token white guy”. The Grammy’s will avoid getting bashed for sexism, specially since it’s KESHA aka a feminist icon of 2017.

People are overrating Kesha. Her story mostly popular on the internet forums. If the Grammys really cared about it, they would have given her song of the year over that girl with issues. Outside stan world, most people don’t even know who Kesha is. In fact, if you mention her name most people would probably just assume you sneezed and say “bless you”. she ain’t winning, and there will not be some moment where she accepts on tv and gets a standing ovation.

ed sheeran is winning both. gaga would be a very very distant second (no matter how much her stans vote for her). kesha should be happy with the nomination.

You can say Kesha isn’t winning (it is a logical conclusion), but since when did Praying flop? It’s literally the second biggest hit in the US nominated this year for Pop Solo, it’s platinum and made the Billboard year-end.

I don’t think they’ll televise Pop Solo and Pop Vocal if Ed wins, since his team said that he isn’t going.

Stop licking Kesha’s twat, dear! “Praying” peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100. That’s a flop. In addition, “Praying” came in at #67 on the Billboard Year-End Hot 100. That’s less than impressive. Kesha better thank her lucky stars she’s even nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Praying spent the majority of its chart run between #22 and #30. That’s not a flop.

#67 on the year-end Hot 100 is very impressive for a song that never made the top 20, and for what it’s worth, that’s higher than P!nk’s “What About Us.” The Gaga and Clarkson songs didn’t even make the list.

Honey, you posters are full of shit. Let’s stop making excuses. Kesha’s chart performance, year-end placement, and album sales are very laughable. People have already forgotten about “Praying” and Rainbow.

And left the jealousy, anyone has forgotten about Rainbow or Praying. First, it’s always in the TV and the radio. Just accept it.

I’m not saying Kesha’s song or album has been forgotten but, come on, be realistic.

She has the least chance to win in this category.

If they decide to break the cycle and do not award the most successful song, they’d probably go with Gaga or Kelly Clarkson. Even Pink has more chance than Kesha.

I don’t think she’s going to win, but she easily has the next best chance after Sheeran. She has the second biggest hit nominated, and within the context of Kesha’s personal life (which is very well known within the music industry), voting for it sends a powerful message, especially in light of all the sexual assault scandals that have been in the news the last few months.

Kelly’s song wasn’t a hit (she couldn’t even win with Stronger), Gaga’s song is forgotten, and P!nk’s song feels completely irrelevant.
