Bruno hands down, but I wish SZA could win this.

Yeah, the nominees here almost seem tailor-made for Bruno to win. Had “Location” by Khalid been nominated here, I would say Bruno would have had some competition. But none of these compare to the popularity of “That’s What I Like”… plus, its also a general field contender.

This category is boring. How the fuck did Khalid’s “Location” miss out on a nomination? Such a travesty. Bruno Mars has this on lock.

SHOULD WIN: Bruno Mars, “That’s What I Like”
WILL WIN: Bruno Mars, “That’s What I Like”

Other than Bruno, these nominations are terrible!

Bruno will easily win this, but “The Weekend” is my favorite song here. I knew it would be nominated.

Another easy Grammy for Bruno, sad because The Weekend is the best of all.

    Should Win: The Weekend
Will Win: That’s What I Like

I have a feeling that Ledisi is a threat. There’s not enough data to really make an impression, but the biggest hit doesn’t always win here. And Ledisi has shown up as a past nominee here four of the last seven years. I could see her winning after several nominations (e. g. Lalah Hathaway).

Like Miguel’s “Adorn,” Bruno too has a SOTY nomination for his song here. But Miguel lost to Usher and a (lesser) hit. And Ledisi isn’t a Grammy-darling like Usher nor does she have a hit with “High.”

    One can hope.

We know that SZA’s filmed a music video for The Weekend, and I think she’s planning to release it soon after her SNL performance this weekend. If she does the song will be fresh in everyone’s mind when voting comes around and I think she’ll have a good shot at this award.
