Who will win Best Song Written for Visual Media?December 10, 2015 at 5:14 am #415334
This one is tough. The biggest hit of the year (SYA) VS Oscar winner (Glory) VS The possibly frontrunner for this year Oscar (TIHTY)December 10, 2015 at 6:26 am #415335
“Glory” easily wins.December 10, 2015 at 6:35 am #415336
I would eliminate the Fifty Shades of Grey songs and the Lady Gaga song (even with the possible Oscar contention and the subject matter).
I think this will boil down to “Glory” and “See You Again.” Both songs are sentimental. One is a Oscar-winning song. The other could contend for this year’s Oscar.
One is up for two Grammys, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. The other is up for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
We can flip a coin here, but I’ll go with “Glory,” simply because it’s the better song and contain two Grammy favorites.December 10, 2015 at 7:04 am #415337
“Love Me Like You Do” is immediately out. “Til It Happens To You” isn’t big enough to overcome the other three nominees. “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” will get love in the R&B field. This boils down to SOTY nominee “See You Again” and the Oscar-winning “Glory.” The ladder has the edge due to the Academy-Award win.
SHOULD WIN: “Glory”
WILL WIN: “Glory”December 10, 2015 at 10:51 am #415338
Glory will win this award so easily.
But I’m still happy for Gaga and Diane for their nomination (TIHTY could be the Runner Up)December 10, 2015 at 1:20 pm #415339
Love Me Like You Do & See You Again snagged Golden Globe noms today.December 10, 2015 at 2:26 pm #415340
I think “Glory” will and should win, but “See You Again” could upset.December 11, 2015 at 12:05 am #415341
2. See You Again
3. Earned It
4. Love Me Like You Do
5. Til It Happens to YouDecember 11, 2015 at 12:20 pm #415342
Glory.January 16, 2016 at 6:39 pm #415343
After the Oscar Nominations these is my prediction for this categoty:
1.”Glory” (Lonni Lynn, Che Smith & John Stephens)
2. “See You Again” (Andrew Cedar, Justin Franks, Charles Puth & Cameron Thomaz)
3. “Til It Happens to You” (Lady Gaga & Diane Warren)
4. “Earned It (Fifty Shades Of Grey)” (Ahmad Balshe, Stephan Moccio, Jason Quenneville, Abel Tesfa
5. “Love Me Like You Do” (Savan Kotecha, Max Martin, Tove Nilsson, Ali Payami & Ilya Salmanzadeh)January 17, 2016 at 10:17 am #415344
I think it will be between last years Oscar winner Glory & this years Oscar frontrunner Til It Happens to YouJanuary 17, 2016 at 10:48 am #415345
I think SYA will probably win another major category( SOTY/ROTY/Duo), so this is Glory’s.
Or if they try to predict this year Oscar winner, then it would be between Earned It and TIHTY.
But honestly it will be really hard to beat Glory.January 17, 2016 at 1:32 pm #415346
I think it will be a race between Glory and Til It Happens To You.
Both are GREAT songs with an important message. It is a really difficult choice.
Gaga has a lot of buzz and respect from industry because she won her sixth grammy last year and won her first golden globe recently. So TIHTY has a very good shot.
01. Til It Happens to You
03. Earned It
04. See You Again
05. Love Me Like You DoJanuary 31, 2016 at 9:30 pm #415347
I hope and I bet in Gaga, for all other songs are named in two or more categories and it is the only one that only with a statement and no doubt the music has a lot of potential and must win yes.
3- See You Again
4- Earned It
5- Love Me Like You Do
