Cool that “Starboy” finally hit #1. I thought it had peaked a while ago, so nice to see it get there cause it absolutely deserves it. But wow, that top 10…”Black Beatles”, “Juju On That Boat”, “Let Me Love You”, “Bad Things”, “Fake Love”. The top 10 has seen better days.

Glad The Weeknd was able to take the top spot for at least one week, as Rae Sremmurd bounces back on top. Migos also makes a strong play for the top spot this week (and surely in coming weeks).

    Billboard Hot 100

    1. Rae Sremmurd featuring Gucci Mane – Black Beatles (7th Week at #1)
    2. Migos featuring Lil Uzi Vert – Bad and Boujee
    3. The Weeknd featuring Daft Punk – Starboy
    4. The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – Closer
    5. Bruno Mars – 24K Magic
    6. Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall – Juju On That Beat
    7. Ariana Grande featuring Nicki Minaj – Side to Side
    8. DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber – Let Me Love You
    9. Drake – Fake Love
    10. D.R.A.M. featuring Lil Yachty – Broccoli

    Digital – Black Beatles
    Radio – Don’t Wanna Know
    Streaming – Bad and Boujee

Excited for Migos grabbing their first #1 hit; “Bad and Boujee” is one of my favorite songs to take the top spot in a long time.

Camila Cabello left Fifth Harmony last month and was on that Shawn Mendes song “I Know What You Did Last Summer”.

So this was the song that Donald Glover was talking about. Was he mocking it like “Broccoli” or applauding it like a real song?

The Billboard Hot 100 chart will be issued later this afternoon (or tomorrow due to the holiday), but Ed Sheeran could earn his first #1 hit with “Shape of You”. It looks to be a close race between Sheeran and Migos for the top spot this week. Sheeran previously went to #1 as a songwriter of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself”, but has never had a #1 hit as an artist, peaking at #2 with “Thinking Out Loud”.

If the song hits #1, it will be the fourth #1 of the year in four weeks.

I agree. “Shape of You” is mediocre. Most of Ed Sheeran’s songs are forgettable. I never got the hype about him.

I hope “Delicious” by Daniel Powter could reach the top 100.

    Billboard Hot 100

    1. Ed Sheeran – Shape of You (#1 Debut)
    2. Migos featuring Lil Uzi Vert – Bad and Boujee
    3. Rae Sremmurd featuring Gucci Mane – Black Beatles
    4. The Weeknd featuring Daft Punk – Starboy
    5. The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – Closer
    6. Ed Sheeran – Castle on the Hill
    7. Bruno Mars – 24K Magic
    8. Maroon 5 featuring Kendrick Lamar – Don’t Wanna Know
    9. Ariana Grande featuring Nicki Minaj – Side to Side
    10. Machine Gun Kelly featuring Camila Cabello – Bad Things

I wonder when the last time was all top five singles had hit #1 on the charts – the high #1 single turnover in 2017 has surely led to this, and The Chainsmokers could debut extremely high next week with “Paris” as well.
