I hate Flo Rida and I hate this song. Would rather have seen Taylor keep the spot for a third week or (more deservedly) see Lights finally reach the top spot, which it now (most likely) will not 🙁 One More Night will probably be the next song to hit the top spot, or Some Nights. They both deserve it. That jump for Everybody Talks is very unexpected (I’ve had the song on my iPod since last CHRISTMAS!) but very deserved. Hopefully the song at least hits the top 5. I wonder how much higher Good Time and As Long As You Love Me can reach. Looks like it’s the last time we’ll be seeing Call Me Maybe in the Top 10, it also fell out of the iTunes Top 10 this week. On a side note, Too Close by Alex Clare just zoomed up to #5 on iTunes, and if it stays there, I expect a big jump next week, potentially into the Top 10.

If “Good Time” continues to do well, this won’t be the last time we see Carly on the top 10.

Everytime I see the name Cher Lloyd, I think that it is Cher finally back with a song.  This top ten is not the best and makes me long for the years in which the top 10 were the jams like they were from 1996 to 2001.

Watch out for P!nk’s ‘Blow Me’, Alex Clare’s ‘Too Close’ and perhaps Taylor Swift’s ‘Ronan’ all impacting the Hot 100 upper tier as soon as next week…

See also Alicia Keys’ ‘Girl On Fire’, PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’, Lil Wayne’s ‘No Worries’ and Rihanna’s ‘Cockiness’ all debuting, plus a big jump for Frank Ocean’s ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’…

VMA effect is after all coming… with Taylor Swift’s ‘WANEGBT’ returning to the top spot for a non-consecutive 3rd week…

P.S.: Not VMA-related but still a high debut: ‘Clique’ by G.O.O.D. Music.

Not really. There is nothing country about that song. It is just a pop song, by an artist who is only nominally country at this point.

It is also really, really terrible. When Adele was Swift’s age she wrote and recorded “Someone Like You” about a break-up. Swift comes out with the song. She needs to grow the hell up.

listen to “Last Kiss” then come back and continue hating. Taylor is a phenomenal writer just as much as Adele is. quit comparing the two. they are both gifted talents to the industry.

I don’t have a real problem with Swift, but this song sounds like it was written by a petulent teenager. If she wants to last in music, she needs to get over that. Maybe she should have a chat with Avril Lavigne.

I also don’t mean to compare her to Adele. I am just offering “Someone Like You” as an example that shows that a performer and writer her age can certainly produce something mature.

I usually think people are exaggerating when they claim the Top 10 is terrible, but this week there’s no other way to put it. It’s truly awful.
