The Billboard Year-End Chart will be released a little after Thanksgiving. It’s pretty obvious “Blurred Lines” will be #1 on the Hot 100, but any ideas on who will fill out the other spots?

    Top Artist? Top Album?

I think artist is now done on the billboard award show and. Not the year end chart and it was Taylor Swift. Also depending on the cut off time for last year if it’s mid November Red could threaten 20/20 experience because of weeks at number 1 might tip in Reds favor because Red spent more weeks during 2013 eligibility year at number 1 (4 weeks). Red was the 2nd highest selling album of 2012 but finished 4th. She’s probably the number 1 country album though. But I think Justin will be number 1 with Taylor 2 or 3.

Are you sure about that? Thrift Shop has 1M more (7M vs. 6M) in sales and about 200M more (~450M vs. ~250M) YouTube views, plus it will have charted longer than BL, even if BL won the radio battle.

It’s all about the hot 100 not sales or streams. Blurred lines spent 12 weeks at #1 it’s almost a sure thing that’s it’s #1 for 2013.

Um, what do you think contributes to the point totals on the Hot 100? They don’t rank songs based on peak position and duration at that position. That’s why songs like “Hanging for a Moment” can still be #1 on the year end tally despite never hitting #1 during their runs.

It was number 1 for 12 weeks it’s gonna be the number 1 song considering that only a handful of songs that have been number 1 longer. Also RED sold more than any album but 21 but was 4 on the year and Chart.

Congrats to Bruno Mars. I’m so glad He’s chosen. He was incredible this year. Well deserved!

No Surprise top album. The 20/20 Experience’s sales is clearly known.

There is a record. Taylor Swift sets  “most year-end no. 1 country albums” record with Garth Brooks (1991, 1992, 1995, 1998) and Shania Twain (1996, 1999, 2003, 2005).

Her 4th year-end number one country album. (2009 Fearless, 2011 Speak Now, 2012 Red, 2013 Red).

The Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 songs of 2013 are really awful.
