Any other Bjork fans out there?  I was listening to Homegenic last night damn, what a brilliant album that sounds ahead of its time even today.   I have to say it kind of pisses me off that Bjork is Grammyless and also does not get the recongnition or credit she deserves for being such a visionary, innovative artists.  There are very few artists out there right now that I would call true musical geniuses, but she is one of them.

Any check out her newest album Vulnicura?

Homogenic is one of my top ten albums of the 90’s. Vulnicura is my favorite of hers since Medulla. She hasn’t put out an entirely mediocre album. However, Biophilia and Volta, in particular, were extreme mixed bags. And Debut is mostly for the club.

    my ranking of her albums:
    1. Homogenic
    2. Post
    3. Vespertine
    4. Medulla
    5. Vulnicura
    6. Biophilia
    7. Volta
    8. Debut

Björk is a goddess: A sonic pioneer, a bold auteur, and a true artist. I have nothing but respect for her work, as well as her contributions to modern music. If you asked me who the five most important artists of the last 25 years were, Björk would be among them–along with Nirvana, Radiohead, Kanye West, and Aphex Twin, if you’re curious.

    Ranking her studio albums…
    1. Debut
    2. Post
    3. Vespertine
    4. Vulnicura
    5. Homogenic
    6. Volta
    7. Biophilia
    8. Medulla

That seems more like a ranking of her most commercial albums rather than her best. But to each their own. Debut has some songs I really like (in particular “Human Behavior” and “Play Dead”), but it’s steeped in straightforward, basic 90’s dance music.

I just started going through Bjork’s catalog. Super late to the party, but Post is amazing! My favorite is Hyperballad!!!
