Christina has released the first promo singles from her up coming 6th studio album. Apparently Liberation is Hip Hop/R&B/urban influenced. “Accelerate” feautures Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz. Today she released the ballad “Twice” which is glorious, one of her better releases in recent years. I’m so excited for this new album. Comes out June 15th. I love this direction. And she has been looking so beautiful with her natural, no make up understated.

    Twice > Accelerate

I was praying for a major Xtina comeback but, at this point, she probably doesn’t care.

All I wanted was a tour. Since we haven’t had one since ‘Back to Basics’.

So I can’t wait to buy tickets 🙂

I was a little nervous hearing “Accelerate”, just not my fave…. but I LOVE “Twist”. So I’m hopeful for this new era. And very excited to see her perform with Demi Lovato on the BBMA’s.

Christina’s first three albums were iconic, most notably Stripped. If she is refiguring that era’s passion and vulnerability into her new music, we’re in for a serious treat. I wish “Accelerate” was a better song, because I see what she was trying to do with it. Similar to how “Dirrty” dramatically shifted her narrative and sound, she’s trying (and failing) at incorporating a harder, contemporary sound into her music with “Accelerate”; however, the song is a mess. Way too much going on and no melody in sight.

“Twice” gives me more hope that this record could rank up there with her first three. It’s the kind of song that Christina was born to sing. Will it be a hit on the Hot 100? We know the answer to that.

I’m hoping she can open at #1 on the Billboard 200 and have some, even if the slightest, cultural impact in 2018.

Twice is a hell of a lot better than the first song. Saying that, I’d give it a B+

“Accelerate” was crap. That’s what you open a new era with after a six-year absence? Baffling, really.

“Twice,” on the other hand, is gorgeous. I have a feeling that “Liberation” will be wildly uneven in content of highs and lows. This is generally consistent with the majority of her albums output though.

I don’t think anyone (including hardcore stans) even like “Accelerate”.

It debuted outside the Billboard Hot 100. In an era of streaming and accessibility, that’s a true flop.

Hopefully the single featuring Demi Lovato will generate fire. Because at this point, ‘Liberation’ is D.O.A.

And why are her concert tickets so expensive!? $700 to sit on the main floor? Ridiculous! A lot of artists are overpricing their shows. Including Shakira! $100 to sit in Section 300? HA!

I mean, can we just add “Fall In Line” to the Pop Duo Race!

The perfect anthem for these times! And wow those vocals!

I don’t think the new song with Demi will be successful on charts. Their vocals are ok but the song itself doesn’t have the potential to be a hit.

All released songs do not give me hope for the album.

Yes, gawd! Chrissy gave me what the fuck I wanted! “Fall In Line” is excellent. That should’ve been the first single.

I don’t know which song I like more? “Twice” or “Fall in Line”?

I agree with Gucci. FIL should’ve been the first single. It has potential to be a hit.

^^^ Fall In Line is the first single. If you look at her website it’s being promoted as the official lead single off Liberation. The other two are just promo tracks. “Accelerate” is an urban release. “Fall In Line” is now at #1 on iTunes! Performance at the Billboard Awards on Sunday and music video coming soon! Ladies and Gents Xtina is back!
