Which musical acts have two of the four Awards that comprises the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) achievement. Please add to the list and keep it to acts currently relevant.

Adele has 10 Grammys and a Oscar. Needs a Emmy and Tony.

Eminem has 15 Grammys and a Oscar. Needs a Emmy and a Tony.

Jennifer Hudson has a Grammy and a Oscar. Needs a Emmy and a Tony.

John Legend has 10 Grammys and a Oscar. Needs a Emmy and a Tony.

Sam Smith has 4 Grammys and a Oscar. Needs a Emmy and Tony.

Taylor Swift has a Emmy and 10 Grammys. Needs an Oscar and a Tony.

Justin Timberlake has 4 Emmys and 9 Grammys. Needs an Oscar and a Tony.

    Those are all I know.

Lin-Manuel Miranda could become an EGOT winner by this time next year if he wins the Oscar for his work on Moana. He is not a pop star but he is relevant to music today. Elton John just needs an Emmy but Indin’t know if he is “relevant”

John legend could very well earn an Emmy this September for the score to “Underground”

Sam Smith’s chances to become an EGOT depends 100% of every Adele’s move.
btw I think It’s so hard for Taylor Swift to Win a Tony Award but Everything is possible and she always surprises.
Cher is also on her way.
Adele seems likely to win an Emmy this year for Outstanding Variety Special for the NBC’s special: Adele Live in New York City, I’m not sure how adele can win a Tony but surely she will win one some day.

Rumor has it Harvey Winstein wanted her to write a musical a few years back. I think she’d win a Tony before an Oscar.

There was rumour on fan sites that “1989” was written as concept album (a la American Idiot) – always thought “Speak Now” would make a terrific musical though

Get real!  Taylor Swift is NOT winning an Oscar or a Tony for that matter.  You can forget that.

    – Queen Latifah has won an Emmy and Grammy.
    – Cyndi Lauper has won an Emmy, Grammy and Tony.

Adele is winning Outstanding Variety Special for her Radio City Music Hall show.
Also, Eminem needs a Tony and an Emmy.

I’m rooting for Cyndi Lauper. She’s one award away from joining that elite group!

According to Wikipedia Bette Midler has multiple Emmy’s, Grammy’s and has a Tony Award, but I’m assuming it is not a compeitive award and thus doesn’t count.  According to Wikipedia in 1974 she won a Tony for “adding luster to the broadway season.” It sounds like an honorary Tony so I guess it doesn’t count.

So this would mean she’d have to win a Tony and Oscar.  Neither one seems particuarly likely at this point.

There are a few instances where entertainers have been credited for EGOT, even though they’ve been honored with honorary trophies.

Also, I think Adele has a great chance at winning an Emmy for her live NBC concert.

A Tony would be the hardest for her, but she could easily get a credit or two for something and perhaps scoop up a win. Who knows.

Bette Midler is set to star in a revival of Hello, Dolly! next season on Broadway. A Tony nomination, if not win, seems likely.
