I don’t think The Weeknd will get nods at the 3 out of the Big 4. He is a definite contender in RoTY and SoTY but Beauty Behind the Madness is not likely to get AoTY because there’s much more competition and I do believe that the R&B voters will lean towards D’Angelo’s Black Messiah.

The only two artists that have a chance of getting 3 out of the Big 4 are Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar. Taylor with higher chances of getting the 3/4 while Lamar’s “Alright” having a better chance of getting SoTY than RoTY.

They can always nominate both, so everyone would be happy. But if I had to pick between the two, D’Angelo clearly has the better album of the two. I think The Weeknd will get in simply because of his buzz. However, I don’t believe that he will be nominated for all three. I think he will slip up somewhere, particularly Song of the Year simply because “Can’t Feel My Face” doesn’t strike me as something that has that great of a lyric or melody.

The Weeknd has a better chance in AotY than SotY. He submitted IMO the wrong song. Not to mention he has a hit that voters will lean too. R&B voters will have favorites but other voters will lean towards “The Weeknd”.
