Yes, I talk with her almost every day. She is such a beautiful soul and I fell in love with her album. I entered her album and songs into the Grammys this year.

I think more people would be interested in if you narrow the categories. I mean, GF categories + 1 category for each music genre (or at max 2 for popular genres)  would be enough.

Agreed we probably have too many above – We can probably narrow each genre to a single performance instead of breaking out Solo and Group in certain categories if that makes more sense.

Now that the Grammy eligibility year is completed, we’ll give it a try and see how many ballots we can collect over the next few weeks to get the 2013 GoldDerby Music Awards started and see how out Forum choices match with the awards show.  Below are the categories for voting – note that any singles and albums released between October 1, 2012 – September 30, 2013 are eligible for awards.  A few notes:

    1. Nomination Ballots can be PM’ed to me anytime during the month of October (Oct 1 – Oct 31).  Afterwards, nominations will be released for final voting.  The top 5 vote getters in each category will be the nominees.

    2. Prefferential voting system will be in place.  Nominate 5 singles / artists / albums per category, and rank these five choices (i.e. first choice gets 5 points, second choice gets 4 points, etc.).

    3. We are using the Grammy eligibility cycle, but I realize that opens up questions on certain singles.  For purposes of these awards, we’ll allow the three singles by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and any other singles that are huge grey areas / question marks for purposes of the Grammys.

    4. Singles and Albums will be nominated in the category where they receive the most votes (i.e. if Taylor Swift’s Red receives more votes in Best Country Album than Best Pop Album, it will be nominated in that category).

    5. Feel free to use this thread as an FYC thread or to post as you’ve voted and sent me a PM.

I’ve narrowed down the category detail below – vote in as many or as few categories as you’d like…
