What are some nominations that you would like to see happen, but pretty much have no chance of happening. For me:

    Asteroids Galaxy Tour
Album of the Year – Bring Us Together
Best Pop Vocal Album – Bring Us Together
Record of the Year – Rock the Ride
Song of the Year – Rock the Ride
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance – Rock the Ride

    The Dear Hunter
Best Alternative Music Album – Act IV: Rebirth In Reprise

    Passion Pit
Album of the Year – Kindred
Best Pop Vocal/Alternativ Music Album – Kindred
Lifted Up (1985) – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

    – Young Fathers for Best New Artist and some rap categories.
    – Laura Marling’s Short Movie for Alternative, Rock or Americana Album or whatever she could be eligible for.
    – Ashley Monroe’s The Blade for Best Country Album.
    – Flying Lotus’ You’re Dead! for Best Rap Album.
    – Jamie xx’s In Colour for Best Dance/Electronica Album.
    – Carly Rae Jepsen’s Emotion for Best Pop Vocal Album or ever AOTY. Really surprised by the album, it sounds like Taylor Swift’s 1989 was supposed to sound.

I actually want “Photograph” to get SOTY over “Thinking Out Loud” even though they are both great songs!

Also, “Nothing Without Love” by Nate Reuss. Amazing song! Totally deserves ROTY, SOTY, Pop Solo and Grand Romantic for Pop Vocal Album!

I would love for Years and Years to break in to Best New Artist and Pop Album because it’s really a great album.  I want Caly Rae to get in for Pop and I feel like she has a chance there, but she completely deserves to be in for Album of the Year.  I’m not sure where James Bay will submit his album and I would love for him to get some love, but he never really made a mark here which sucks.

I think Twenty One Pilots deserve an Alternative Album nom but I don’t see that happening since that category is so hard to gauge.  Same thing with Walk the Moon, their album is great.  I think Shut Up and Dance deserves Record of the Year and Pop Group Performance for sure.

I’m pretty bad at guessing the Rock categories, but I want Elle King to break in for Exes and Ohs, especially on the performance side.  She just kills that song.

So here’s my crazy out of left field choice.  I wholly believe that the Hamilton Cast Album deserves an Album of the Year nomination.  It is an incredibly smart work that many critics have called the best rap album of the year.  The songs are brilliant and tell an interesting story, and I’m really blown away by it.  I mean, this would never happen, when was the last musical theater album that received a nomination in a general category?  But if there ever was one that deserved it, it was this one.  If you haven’t given it a listen or you’re thinking how in the hell could a rap musical about Alexander Hamilton be good, just you wait.

Madonna’s “Rebel Heart” in all eligible categories. Definitely one of the best albums of the year so far.

Would also like to see Lana and “Honeymoon” get some love in multiple categories.
