For me there are other girl groups that are better than the Supremes, such as The Three Degrees and En vogue.
The Supremes only get first place because they were the first commercial successful girl group but if it would have been some other girl group than people would rank that group in first place, instead of the Supremes.
Also, I really don’t understand how Spice Girls can be better than any of the girl groups mentions. They basically copied Salt N Pepa with the catch phrase (Ziggy Zig Aah) and gave a carbon copy answer to what it meant to the answer when Salt N Pepa were asked about the meaning of ‘Shoop’.
They also copied TLC with the Waterfall dance in their live performance to, ‘Spice Up your Life’ and also by giving every member in the group a distinct personality.
I personally think that Eternal was better as well as a whole heap of other girl groups from the UK to the Spice Girls (Misteeq, Sugababes, Atomic Kitten).
With TLC each member bought something distinct to the group and their voices blended well together. It wasn’t simply a case of two singers and one rapper in the group but even the two singers had different tones and both of their voices blended well together.February 6, 2018 at 3:48 am #1202488372
I forgot to mention that TLC not only were copied by other girls groups but also influence boy groups, too. Such as BlackStreet and a 90s R n B group that came out after TLC and had one rapper and two singers.
But TLC also had their own influences as well, especially when they first came out with their first album, they resembled Salt N Pepa but they quickly developed into their own selves when their second album was released.February 6, 2018 at 12:22 pm #1202488724

No Destiny’s Child was.February 6, 2018 at 5:23 pm #1202488869
No Destiny’s Child was.
Destiny’s child barely qualifies as a group since Beyonce basically always sang leads and the other members of the group were essentially interchangeable from one another. I can’t think of a time when Kelly or god forbid Michelle got to sing lead on a DC song.February 11, 2018 at 4:14 am #1202491640
Also, Left-eye contributed to the original members of Destiny’s Child leaving the group. This happened when they were touring with TLC in 1999 and Left-eye informed them that they had a bad deal or contracts.April 15, 2018 at 6:00 pm #1202530036
The Pointer Sisters all sang lead on hit songs:
Anita Pointer sang lead on Fire, Freedom, Twist My Arm
June Pointer sang lead on He’s So Shy, Slow Hand, Jump, Dare Me
Ruth Pointer sand lead on Neutron Dance, Automatic
The Pointer Sisters will get my votes because of their talent and they were and are fun.April 15, 2018 at 6:51 pm #1202530058
Plus Bonnie Pointer had a hit of her own with Heaven Must Have Sent You.April 16, 2018 at 8:01 pm #1202530822
Also, The Pointer Sisters received nominations in Pop, Country and R&B. They won in Country for Fairytale and in Pop for Jump For My Love.April 16, 2018 at 8:03 pm #1202530823

This was the case before “Survivor”.
All three members of DC got an opportunity to shine on “Destiny Fulfilled”.
Which in my humble opinion is not only their best album but one of the greatest R&B records of the 2000’s.
