I tried to update the title on the last Kelly thread, but somehow the thread disappeared, but a new era, a new thread I guess is deserved. She has released 2 tracks ahead of the album, “Love so soft” and “Move you”. Both very different. She performed on the Today show this morning and Killed it! Her vocals are spot on, even for early morning.

I’m so excited for this new era. Loving the 2 new songs so far. Move You is just perfect, reminds me of Already Gone which I LOVED.

Her vocals in Walk Away in the Today Show were perfect.

I’d put “Love So Soft” in pop solo and “Move You” in *maybe* traditional R&B. (But she’s white, so that won’t happen. See: Joss Stone)

Kelly’s new music is literally amazing. “Love So Soft” is just a sick fantastic song and “Move You” is just perfection. So thrilled both songs have received such great critical and fan reactions. And her performances of both on “Today” show yesterday were absolutely incredible. And the video for “Love So Soft” is arguably her best ever…. I think she really has a great shot at Pop Solo this year. I’m hoping “Love So Soft” can make it in the general field too.

“Move You” really is stunning. Loved that one! “Love So Soft” was … unexpected. Felt like a 90s throwback kind of a song. I didn’t expect Kelly to go in this direction. I think she can get some Grammy attention.

Honey, Kelly Clarkson has redeemed herself after the hideous “Heartbreak Song”/Piece By Piece era. “Love So Soft” is a very sleek, feel-good groove. “Move You” is exquisite.

Kelly is one of those rare artists who has been able to maintain consistency and release quality music 15 years into her career. The AMAs should give her the Merit Award. She would deserve it.
