Meek Mill featured on 2 tracks?
This era has been all over the place. I pray she can bring everything together into one cohesive album.December 1, 2014 at 9:19 pm #404368
“Pills N Potions” was a very questionable first single choice. “Anaconda” was campy and fun. “Only” isn’t really my style. But I LOVE “Bed of Lies,” which might be my favorite Nicki song ever. Looking forward to the collabs with Beyonce and Ariana!December 2, 2014 at 3:56 am #404369
No Lookin’ as N***a?
Interested to hear the Beyonce featured track.December 2, 2014 at 12:56 pm #404370
Yeah, I don’t know if this album will deliver. Some of the singles look like they have potential though, at least in terms of the collabs.December 2, 2014 at 2:50 pm #404371
No Lookin’ as N***a?
Disappointed to see it not included. It was hypocritical as all hell but still better than anything from her previous album.April 22, 2015 at 5:02 pm #404372
BUMP.April 23, 2015 at 1:04 pm #404373
Surprised there haven’t been any more commercially successful singles off this album. “The Night Is Still Young” sounds like it could do very well on the charts.April 24, 2015 at 8:13 am #404374
TNISY is one of my least favorite tracks from the album. She’s “supposedly” filming a video to “Feeling Myself” but I feel that song came and went.
“Truffle Butter” would’ve been huge had she properly pushed it.April 24, 2015 at 11:29 am #404375
I feel like “Truffle Butter” is still pretty big in its own right, despite it not being a single. Catchy as hell, no doubt about that.April 24, 2015 at 2:01 pm #404376
Nicki definitely could have had some more hits from this album if she promoted the singles better. “Bed Of Lies” could have done better if it had a music video, or maybe not. It seems people aren’t into her more deeper songs.
“Truffle Butter” and “Feeling Myself” did considerably well on the charts by themselves, but unfortunately Nicki didn’t take the opportunities to promote them to make them even bigger.
I’m curious to see how “The Night Is Still Young” will do on the charts.April 24, 2015 at 8:25 pm #404377
“Bed of Lies” sounds like a throw away demo from Skylar Grey/Alex da Kid in 2010.
Plus, Nicki’s ‘introspective’ singles often seem forced and released at the wrong time (i.e. “Pills N Potions”). The GP isn’t here for her being serious. As evident by the success of “Anaconda”, “Feeling Myself”, and “Truffle Butter”.
ON A SIDE NOTE: “Moment 4 Life” is my all-time favorite Nicki Minaj song.April 27, 2015 at 1:23 pm #404378
The more I think about it, Nicki’s Pinkprint era is turning out to be disappointingly underwhelming. I had higher hopes for her since I’m a fan of the album.
Hopefully a song (“Night Is Still Young”, “Feeling Myself”) catches on this summer. I feel like no one outside of her fans knows her new music. Such a lack of promotion. Yikes!April 27, 2015 at 5:40 pm #404379
The problem with this era was that Nicki spent so much time trying to find an initial hit to kick start the album. Now that Urban radio got a hold of the album they picked which singles to overplay thus ruining her chances at pushing the material throughout the year. “The Night Is Still Young” sounds like an obvious hit but sometimes that can backfire. We’ll see.
