Jennifer’s new single “Think Like A Man,” featuring Rick Ross and Ne-Yo, for the movie of the same name, is now on itunes. It’s better than any of the singles she dropped from “I Remember Me.”January 31, 2012 at 2:08 pm #378635
The beginning is very promising but the rest… meh, boringJanuary 31, 2012 at 2:22 pm #378636

Avid Jennifer fan here…ever since “Share Your Love With Me”. I thought she hit it out the park with her dance and disco-flavored “I Remember Me” and still enjoy the debut. ‘Spotlight’ was, for her voice, a masterpiece. But you all seem to think none of her material is up to par. So can you give some examples of the type of songs she should be singing and that would bring her success. I’m not asking for types of songs or producers or genres…I’m asking for songs so that I can get a reference of the type of material you want her to sing.March 5, 2012 at 11:49 am #378644
She needs more material like “Spotlight”, “If This Isn’t Love”, and “Pocketbook”. “I Remember Me” was an overall better album than her debut, but none of the tracks were individually on the level of those 3 tracks. She doesn’t need to dance it up like Beyonce, but she should be moving to more of a current R&B/pop sound, as opposed to “Where You At”, which (while she sounded amazing on it), sounded like an R&B track from the mid-1990s.March 5, 2012 at 5:21 pm #378645
most of her material doesn’t match her voice. Her voice is a tour de force and
her material tends to skew on the boring and generic r&b side
she should take a page from adeleMarch 5, 2012 at 6:57 pm #378646
well if this is the music that she likes then she should sing it…………..March 5, 2012 at 9:06 pm #378647
well if this is the music that she likes then she should sing it…………..
Absolutely, but if she continues with the music she has been singing, then she’ll continue with album sales that barely hit gold.
She’s a household name. She should be way better in her music career than she is. She has a ton of potential to sell on Beyonce’s level.
