I really like this song. I thought their last album was good but not as good as the other 2 so I am excited. This song seems like a new sound for themSeptember 8, 2014 at 9:11 am #401772
I am a fan of the song and 1D. However, I despise the album title! Their team could’ve come up with something more creative and interesting.September 8, 2014 at 7:38 pm #401773
Is that really the (awful) album cover?September 8, 2014 at 9:10 pm #401774
4 (Four) is an unlucky title. Ask BeyonceSeptember 8, 2014 at 9:42 pm #401775

They get a lot of hate, and I understand it.
But I am not ashamed to admit I think “The Story of My Life” is a brillant pop song.September 9, 2014 at 5:26 pm #401777
I can’t see any difference of the new song from their other ones. I just hope the album will be better. “Story of My Life” was so much better than the lead single of the album, “Best Song Ever”.
Actually, Midnight Memories is their biggest chance for the Grammys. It has two top ten songs and good sales, but I am not sure we’d see their Grammy debut.September 9, 2014 at 8:06 pm #401778
It isn’t impossible for 1D to receive a GRAMMY nomination in the future. We’ve seen a few boy bands (Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Jonas Brothers) get in.
I agree “Story of My Life” is one of their best songs. I’d rank their albums Up All Night > Midnight Memories > Take Me Home. I pray that FOUR continues their path down a more mature sound.September 9, 2014 at 9:31 pm #401779
I feel like Midnight Memories was trying to do a Mumford and Sons vibe to it with some vibs of some other bands. I am suprised that they didn’t get a Best New Artist nomination when the less talented Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber got in.September 10, 2014 at 9:29 pm #401780
The GRAMMYs are strange when it comes to what teeny-bop artists they nominate. You would think with the number of records broken and WW impact that 1D would’ve at least made BNA.September 11, 2014 at 12:54 am #401781
Can’t they just take a break? Jesus.September 11, 2014 at 6:34 am #401782
I think the reason they keep releasing is that it’s assumed that once their popularity goes, they’re pretty much done for. Eventually the fan base will grow up and move on and it will be on with the next boy band. They’re bringing in the cash right now with sold out tours and new songs to sing each year.September 11, 2014 at 7:57 am #401783

This exactly. But I don’t even think Backstreet Boys or NSYNC were playing stadiums!? I hear 1D will garner close to a billion dollars in revenue. That’s insane! Their label signed them for at least 2-3 more albums. I think they’ll break up by then. Hopefully Zayn can start his solo career and become the Justin Timberlake he was born to be.
