I think “No Mediocre” will get in both Performance and Song. Chris Brown may submit “Loyal” to the Rap Field like “Look at Me Now.” This field is really weak for the first time. Who’s gonna win Rap Performance ? Eminem has the other 3 categories but I’m not sold on Performance.

Eminem is not a lock in any of the categoris except Rap Album (thanks to the weak year for rap albums). Rap/Sung Collaboration will easily go to “Drunk in Love” if submitted there.

Perhaps. I feel that Eminem’s buzz came and went. If he wins anything more than Rap Album, I think it’s based on name recognition. I hope they open up the field for Schoolboy Q, YG and the like to get some love. This rotating among Jay-Z, Kanye and Eminem is just a drought.

Yes. This is the perfect year for the rookies to get some shine. They will all see nominations. I’m also close to throwing Childish Gambino and Wiz Khalifa in my predictions. I’ll post my full predix later.

I agree. The GRAMMYs are extremely lazy when it comes to voting for RAP FIELD recipients. However, Eminem will win whatever category he’s nominated for that doesn’t include Kanye or JAY-Z. I’m almost certain he has Rap Album, Rap Song, and possibly Rap/Sung Collaboration (unless they choose to submit DIL there).

Wiz Khalifa’s best shot at a nomination is in Rap Performance/Song for “We Dem Boyz”. That was a huge Urban hit.

Childish Gambino deserves recognition for both his album (Because the Internet) and it’s first single “3005”.

ScHoolboy Q and YG had my personal favorite rap albums this year. I hope they get in across the board.

Eminem will likely sweep the rap field again.

Looks like Kendrick Lamar will make the deadline. His new single will be out next week so we might wanna start predicting him for Rap Performance and Song.

Isn’t Eminems album like the most successful album of the year (for a single artist)? I mean I’m not big on Rap but he got good reviews too.

Will the grammy voters put Iggy’s album in Pop? I listened to it recently and it has wayyy to much synth-pop and EDM influences to be a Rap Album nominee.

The album is mostly Rap. Bounce is the only 100% Pop song on the album. She’s gonna be in Rap Album.
