If you had the power to remove one nominee from any category (for a valid reason) and replace it with another album/song (again for a valid reason, not just cause you don’t like an artist). Who do you think doesn’t deserve their nominations and who should of been nominated in their place?

    My pick would be in

    Best Pop Vocal Album

This IMO had the biggest wrong of all the nominations mostly because E-mo-tion was omitted from this category despite being not only one of the best pop albums of the year but one of the best albums of year.

    My Final Line Up

    Carly Rae Jepson – E-MO-TION

Florance + the Machine – How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

    Mark Ronson – Uptown Special

    Taylor Swift – 1989

James Taylor – Before This World

    My Omitted Nomination

Kelly Clarkson – Piece By Piece

    Reason

The other albums either have one or three things 1)Acclaim 2)Huge Hit 3)Veteran Status. Piece By Piece to me was very lackluster its lead single “Heartbeat Song” was a disappointment to me especially after her last album/lead single “Mr. Know It All”. When it comes down it “1989” had an automatic nomination, James Taylor is a well respected veteran, “Uptown Special” had “Uptown Funk”, Florance had great reviews and Carly had the best surprise of the year who would of thought that the follow up to “Kiss” would be so good. Nothing against Kelly but it just wasn’t that good in comparison to the other potential nominees.

    Best Pop Vocal Album

    Omission: Piece by Piece

Replaced by: Every Open Eye: CHVRCHES

EOE was a fantastic follow up to their debut album. PBP is one of Kelly’s weaker album. It would have been nice to see CHVRCHES get more recognition even if they would have assuredly lost to 1989 in this category.

Replace Above & Beyond’s “We’re All We Need” with Giorgio Moroder’s “Right Here Right Now”.
