    Numbers and stats don’t lie.

The measure of a true icon is one who makes an indelible impact, sustains longevity, and is respected.

Rihanna has proven skeptics wrong so many times. She’s a career artist with a catalog of hits that rival Madonna and Mariah Carey.

I don´t think there are any icons in the entertainment industry right now.

Y´all have to stop believing that anyone above the age 18 is still truly idolizing celebrities in 2017.

Nah, Lady Gaga has been more iconic in 2009-2010 than Rihanna in her entire career, she is very succesful but for her songs, not her albums. I don’t know why I feel that her songs are more popular than her, there is something missing, I’m not sure, time will tell.

Umm…I don’t know if you are aware of this thing called social media. It’s a place where people go to follow and idolize celebrities. It’s actually pretty popular among the 18+ demographic.

No shade because I love Lady Gaga. But Rihanna has surpassed her in terms of longevity, popularity, and global success.

And can we stop this myth that Rihanna isn’t known for her albums? Uhh hello..”Good Girl Gone Bad” and “Loud” are two of the biggest pop eras of the last 20 years. She didn’t get an AOTY nomination for nothing.

Of course she is an icon, she’s one of the most successful artists of all time. I’m surprised this is even up for debate.

Honey, let’s stop the foolery. Rihanna has not been out long enough to be a music icon. Plus, her music is forgettable and her album sales are rather mediocre. This thread is an insult to the true music icons.

She’s been around longer than the Beatles and many other legends. She has sold more records than Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Celine Dion, Queen, etc. Saying her music is forgettable is entirely your opinion. Millions of other people have the exact opposite opinion.
